Review Of Himalayan Eagle Resort and paragliding

The overall experience of the villa was very good. The destination of the villa was beautiful. The location of the villa was excellent. There was no delay in check-in and check-out process. The food quality was nice in the villa I would recommend this villa to upcoming travellers. The Wi-Fi facility was provided in the room.

I went and stayed in the villa along with my friends. They were good and helped me get my travel itineraries right. Everything is exceptional except for it's location and food. The Taste is good but is super expensive and is limited quantity. After a certain time it is impossible for you to go out of the resort so that is a drawback when you are on a short holiday.

t is in Chibbo a small village near Kalimpong Scenic beauty of this place is awesome but you have to reach the villa by walking 5 to 7 minutes from the point where parked your car. Car can not able to go in front of villa because of narrow village road. Otherwise its a very good location. Cottages are very good. Service and food is also very good. It is a nice place to stay enjoy the scenic beauty of the place.

Himalayan Eagle Resort lower Chhibo Kalimgpong. A contradicting experience. Both pleasant and annoying. Stayed in April 2015. Distance 30 minutes drive from the Kalimpong taxi stand. The distance from the taxi stand is about 7 Km but you have to travel up a hill on extremely bad road. Most taxi drivers do not know the place. Location remote and beautiful beside Gyankul preparatory school. Lower Chhibo. Nestled in a hill surrounded by stepped cultivated plots natural wooded area beautiful quaint little houses of the neighborhood bedecked with all kind of flowers of every imaginable colors. the Location is truly beautiful. From every cottage you get an 180 degree view of the Mountains in front On your right is the Kalimpong city on you left Darjeeling and in front of you is the snowy mountain range of Kanchan Junga. We Could not see the snow peaked mountains because of the fog but Mr Lahiri owner he has taken lease from Mrs Susanne Khati assured us that when the sky is clear you can see the magnificent snow covered mountains. Ideal for long walks and picnics neighbors are friendly open and simple people most will invite you to their homes with a smile. There is a tiny brook with a bridge nearby, sit here to watch vibrant butterflies. The area is full of many exotic Himalayan birds. Take with you a Binocular and Dr Salim Ali's book on Indian Birds if interested in birding. In the night you will feel as if you are hanging between star filled galaxies. There are tiny blinking lights far away from distant towns and stars in the sky above. The only sound you will hear are the chirping of crickets and barking of two pet dogs BoBo and Bruno. There is no shop, no medical store nearby taxi takes more money for every one way trip in to the town. Just one taxi driver Bhart lives the road. So you have only one taxi driver who may or may not be there when you need him. Suggestion You have to book him beforehand Or phone Sabir Samir fix trips with them for your entire stay this should be cheaper. You cannot buy extra food if you are hungry and during your entire stay you are dependent on the resort people. Suggestion take ample fruits, juices, cold drink, corn flakes etc. With you if you have a good appetite and travelling with energetic all the time hungry kids. Take your essential medicines and toiletries. The Villa only provides hand washing soaps. Out side food is prohibited but above list should not cause problem. The taxi cannot go till the living quarters it's a comfortable walk of about 10 minute. If you have problem walking on mountain roads this may not be the place for you. Porters are there to carry your luggage. The living room consist of double bed and deluxe 2 level cottages attached bath room with 24 hours water supply geyser connection. Sauna room Sauna may be at extra cost please enquirer cable television connection is there and Wi-Fi is available at the dinning area. No room service under normal conditions. Rooms are spacious. Three meals are provided at extra cost. Breakfast, dinner and lunch. May change from season to season get exact rates when you are booking. Generally Indian food is served in the lunch hour and of good quantity. Breakfast is either bread and eggs or Puri Bhaji and eggs. Dinner is either Chinese or Continental. We found the quantity less then sufficient. These are set Manues with set quantity if you want more you pay more for dogs. If you like them let me tell you there are two extra friendly dogs BoBo and Bruno. Bobo is a Dalmatian with slightly liquid pedigree and Bruno is a six month old German Shepherd. They will play with you go for walks and sit with you in the garden. If you do not like them they are well behaved and won't bother you. If you have a dog phobia do not go to this place. They arrange Para, Gliding, trekking, biking etc. Room tariff extra for a double bed room Per night. Check out 12 Pm may change from season to sea.
