Beautiful location. Room structure was awesome. Rooms were used for military quarters in british rule. Lake sounds, peacock’s sounds makes us live away from city. Food was ok, not bad.

Excellent place, feel like scottish ambience. Best part was comfortable cottages. Food was ossam, we took breakfast and dinner in combination. Must visit this property if you looking for relax yor mind and sole.

A "home" for a holiday!

I found this resort thanks to make my trip and after much browsing through other travel sites as well. We stayed for three nights and it was thoroughly enjoyable, though there was not much by way of "view from the room. However, the peaceful and quiet location, with misty mornings and chilly nights, besides the friendly and efficient service more than made up for any shortcomings. We later learn t that the holiday home has quite a history. Before the resort commenced operations in 1947, the facility was used as barracks for the british troops stationed in kodaikanal. There are a few artifacts and historical photographs on display in the dining room. The room - we opted for the "stream side room" as it suited our budget. Very spacious with an alcove for dressing and a size-able washroom with geezer for hot water. A sit-out / verandah also added to the ambience. No fan or air-conditioning, but we didn't require them due to the fabulous weather (between 23c and 14c. If the management gives a bit more attention to maintenance, your stay can be even more comfortable. There is a connecting door to the adjoining room - very convenient for a group. The food - basic, but very tasty (at least to our palates. Buffet breakfast and dinner came with the tariff. Breakfast was mostly south indian, but egg preparations were available on order. So also the dosa. Dinner - again, a buffet. Simple but a mix of veg and non-veg. Soup, rice and parathas besides a variety of curries and side dishes. Quite tasty. The dining hall is quite big with a choice to sit on the verandah that skirts one side of the hall. There is no bar, so you need to carry your stuff if you wish to enjoy a sip or two at night! the service - quite efficient, friendly and laced with a smile. Not sure if there is room service because we didn't order anything except for a few cans of soft drinks. Amenities - an indoor hall (connected to the dining room) with board games and tt table. A children's play area close to the rooms. Parking - lots of space and free. Net connectivity - wi-fi available in the reception area. But we carried our own data card (as we always do. So, connectivity wasn't an issue. In conclusion, for two adults and three nights with breakfast and dinner thrown in, it was a steal. Not a 5-star facility by any stretch, but very comfortable. Thank you make my trip. Will we stay here again? yes, certainly!

One of the best properties in kodaikanal. Built in mid 1900s and still has the same charm. There are indoor and outdoor activities. Food is good though limited options are available. At night resturant closes at 9:30 pm and all goes quite by 10. There will be indian gaur roaming around which is another great experience (just don't interact with them as they are wild. There was a bonfire every night. You can also chill in the hammock outside. Parking is ample and rooms are very big.

Holiday home resort provided a delightful stay. The property is fabulous, offering scenic walking areas. My kids had a great time at the park and ballrooms. The staff, especially mr. Arul (manager, were consistently helpful and friendly. The spacious rooms are tastefully decorated, creating a homely atmosphere. The surroundings outside the rooms provide a perfect setting for relaxation, allowing guests to immerse themselves in the beauty of hills and lush greenery.

I fall short of words to describe the location and the kind of ambience that the property offers. There is an actual stream that passes through the property. I got a superb deal with dinner and breakfast inclusion in my stay and i must say i was super happy with the hospitality of the staff.

At beautiful destination for a comfortable stay with family, the resort is ideal. Resort has ample opportunities for outdoor activities too. The rooms are clean and well maintained. Restaurant is also very good. The location is an ideal place, not too far from most of the sight seeing places of kodaikanal. The weather conditions are good during november for a holiday at kodaikanal.
