For all that Holiday Inn has long been known for, it seems some of that charm and professionalism is missing now. From the polished and attentive staff of earlier days to the current team—especially at the breakfast area—there’s a noticeable dip in quality and service standards.
I was allotted a room on the 14th floor where construction was going on in the adjacent room. While I completely understand that maintenance work is essential, I wish I had been informed about it at the time of check-in.
The breakfast spread was quite average, and unfortunately, none of the items really stood out or tempted a second helping. Dishes like idli, puri with aloo sabzi, medu vada, dosa, poha, and even the yogurt lacked freshness and flavour. The fruit counter, however, was a saving grace.
Room service response time also needs improvement, and even small details—like TV remotes not functioning properly—reflect a need for better upkeep.
I genuinely hope the management takes this feedback in the right spirit, as Holiday Inn has always been a trusted name for its hospitality and consistency.
