familyHotel looks great. The design inside the rooms are bad. The charging sockets are in the middle /top of the bed. There is kettle placed in the room, but cannot connect to a electric socket. Over all the standard room had no ac. August requires ac. Food is ok, they charge 250 rs per person if you need to buy your breakfast. The rooms are neat and dry. Good spacious rooms overall the rates @makemy trip is much more than direct booking the hotel. The hotel is very much accessible and just next to the passport office. Overall the hotel is good for a day's stay. Remember it is not a resort

room and infrastructure: • the room was spacious but not up to the mark in terms of infrastructure. • the washroom was below average. • only one ceiling fan was provided, which was insufficient for comfort. location: • the hotel is located near a mosque, resulting in quite excessive sound early in the morning for about 30 minutes or more, which disrupted our sleep. this is something to keep in mind when making reservations, though it is beyond the hotel’s and our control (please note i’m not against any religion) hospitality: • the best part of our stay was the helpful and hospitable staff. their service was commendable. dining: • dinner at the hotel was good. • however, the breakfast included with our room reservation was not up to the mark, especially for north indian or punjabi tastes. overall experience: • due to the room conditions and lack of air conditioning, it was quite hot in august. • i would rate my stay 3 out of 5, primarily due to the excellent hospitality. otherwise, it would have been a 2.5.

Brown palace deluxe rooms are no way deluxe. It doesn’t even have a proper fan forget about ac. They don’t even change the bed sheets for their new customer. The blankets are dusty. We had to immediately upgrade our rooms to premium where kids didn’t get bed after paying a hefty amount. They had to sleep on the floor mattress. Their kitchen staff are the only one who gave us extremely good service.

familyBad experience. Not value for money. Rooms are not clean, found spider in bed and used cups in room. Food was terrible, only 2 repetitive items in breakfast. Room service was not good. Not all category of rooms listed here.

Property is Good and service Is also a very nice but best part of the hotel is location is beyond my words so overall good experience. I suggest this property to everyone who travel to Srinagar with family thanks 👍

Much needed upgrade
groupProperty location is very good, food is ok. Amenities is lacking and service is poor. Some facility for senior citizens may also be considered.

Terrible Stay
The experience was the worst with this hotel with very unresponsive staff they served very low quality food, cooked using bad stuff. Even when i complained about this yesterday to mm t they assured me the manager would reach out for discussion but there was no such interaction with us. The food quality was bad as it was yesterday and they didn't even serve tea and water in the room when we asked. The only thing that they cared about was earning some commission and tips.

groupWe had average stay at the brown palace. Nice location opposite dalgate 13. Market is nearby. Hotel is clean with spacious rooms. But toilet was primitive with old accessories. Towels were shabby. No amenity kits were provided. Breakfast has not upto the mark with a limited spread. Taste was average. Overall 3. 5/5.

Good Stay
The room i booked online was standard room and it’s not look like a 3 star. Old room and dirty bathroom. I asked the receptionist and upgraded my room in to next level and paid extra money. Breakfast was tasty but same menu daily. Staff was cooperative. Location is near the best attraction dal lake.

All staff are very polite and their behavior is very good. They should little concetrate on house keeping of rooms.

Hotel brown palace srinagar
This hotel is at dal lake road and right at the lake, walking may be 100 steps only. Super deluxe room size is huge, however they can maintain little better, for e. G. Tv set top box not working ( not recharged, bulb fused ( however they replaced when complained) with the size of windows the no of curtains were less and privacy is compromised, the wasroom is very very average

Let down
The location is excellent. The building is good. But I got to know that the place is not well run because of management fight between brothers. Sad. The end result is - not enough staff, not good enough restaurant service and overall lack of professionalism. But I wish them well and hope that in future they will improve dramatically.

Hopeless hotel
All rubbish except a nice garden and location! Old style dud standard room and sub-standard ambience, hopeless room, stinking old styled bathroom. Hopeless Restaurant, poor service. Uncomfortable beds, in all wastage of money. Will never recommend to anybody. Was on a business trip but it was a waste of time, lost concentration and peace of mind.
