Review Of Hotel Chevron Fairhavens, Nainital

I stayed in this property for 2 days. It was a good experience, the food was good. The only drawback was that it is located on steep hill otherwise it was good experience. I booked a room with lake view but it was not available so i got little disappointed.

The stay was excellent, staff was very humble and supportive. One more thing i want to add that the food's taste and quality was awesome.

Pathetic experience. A bid no from my side first of all hotel is at so steep that even our cab driver say no to take us at that height after paying extra amount and request we reached the hotel they gave us the very small room as we book deluxe room shown in make my trip the room was very small even we 2 feel very suffocated there after discussion on reception they agreed to change the room on next day as they say no room are available right now on next day when kids-wit us want to eat something we ordered food from outside as hotel boy say they ll not take order after 10 pm but as soon our ordered deliver there is some person gaurav sharma says this food is not allowed in hotel premises if you wish u along with kids can have it outside hotel in chilling winter when we denied and say it's veer cold outside we can't he aa yelled at as and almost fight with us in argument s as if his goal is to just win this fight after the intervention of make my trip the issue is resolved but. So a big no from my side.

Old english wooden villa with excellent lake view and natural greenery around. 10 min uphill from the hustle of mall road with pick-and-drop facilities

Hotel is good for photos. Stay was okayish. Highlight of the stay was a spider on me while using the washroom. Literally on me. And it was a well grown spider. Like they have either not cleaned the washroom properly or they ignore it there.

Location very tough to reach at hotel and inconvenience occurs to reach and drop Hotel . too much narrow road found on reaching hotel

The hotel is at prime location near mall road, the view is just mesmerising from the rooms, food was amazing. Gives a vibe of heritage rooms with its wooden roof and floors. Overall highly satisfied with the booking and worth the money spent

Hotel should have a clear description of how steep the road is! especially for people from cities it could be a nightmare to reach the hotel. Rooms are overpriced for the quality of stay.

Had a good experience. The hotel location is at height but pickup facility is provided by them so it's not an issue. The view is beautiful. Rooms are decent and service is also good. Food was okay, not too good.

Chevron is a wonderful property that takes you back in time. Built in 1925 it is a charming place. Food and hospitality was great. Lovely people. Clean and neat place. Spacious rooms, lovely garden. It is difficult to find a place in nainital that has a flat surface. Chevron must be one of the very few places that have a beautiful garden and view. The only downside is the steep slope to get to the place. The road is narrow and very few taxis will be open to drive to the top. For younger and fit people, it should not be a problem. Other that this issue - nothing to complaint about. Would highly recommend the place.

Harritage property almost 100 years old resort feeling good service was awesome and food was delicious staff was nice and most important thing the view from hotel was excellent

Provided room size is smaller than booked one. Also in web sit it was showing king size bed but provided bed is simple double bed.

Great property for a family with beautiful lawn. The lake view from this heritage hotel room's window is one of the best from anywhere in nainital. The pick n drop is good from the bada bazar near the new open air theater else there is a steep narrow road from main bazar to the hotel entrance.

It was our second time at this place and we enjoyed it a lot. Nice, comfortable environment and good food to go along with. Well done to organisers for a lovely new year party. Heating arrangements can be made better especially in peak winters. I would request the owners to setup fireplace in the emperor suite since it has huge area and a simple heater doesn’t work.

Even though they lack in service they make it up with the view

Heritage looks come naturally to this hotel cum resort. The architecture has perfect mix of olden times wood laden feel with modern fancies. The view is also mesmerising from the rooms located in the front. We had a short 1 night stay at this hotel during off-season. Will surely want to go back here for a longer stay
