**A Wonderful Stay Near the Golden Temple – Highly Recommended!** We stayed at **Hotel Golden Stay** for three nights during our trip to Amritsar, and it turned out to be one of the best budget stays we’ve had! The location is fantastic — it’s just about an **8–10 minute walk to the Golden Temple**, and the **clothes market** is barely **200 meters away**. You’ll also find **Kesar da Dhaba** and **Bharawan da Dhaba** close by, which makes it super convenient for food lovers. From the moment we arrived, we were **welcomed very warmly**. The receptionist was **extremely polite and helpful**, making us feel comfortable right away. We were even offered a **free upgrade**, which was very kind of them, but we decided to stick with the **room we had booked with a city view**. The **room was spotless**, everything looked well arranged, and the amenities were thoughtfully provided — **kettle, tea bags, coffee sachets, and water bottles**, all complimentary. The **bathroom was big and clean**, with a **separate glass-partitioned shower area**, which was a pleasant surprise for a hotel in this price range. If you’re looking for a **clean, comfortable, and affordable** stay near the Golden Temple, this hotel checks all the boxes. The only minor challenge is reaching it during the day, as the lanes nearby can get quite busy. I’d recommend hiring an **e-rickshaw** for about **₹80–₹100**, which makes the ride smooth and hassle-free. Overall, **Hotel Golden Stay** offers great value for money with its friendly staff, neat rooms, and perfect location. We had a truly pleasant experience and would **definitely stay here again** on our next visit to Amritsar.

We had a very nice stay in this hotel, it was very clean, fresh and soothing in the room. Location is quite good,nearby eateries and markets are there. Overall I loved Amritsar as well as the stay.

asked a bottle of water which costs 20 but owner charged 30.No auto rickshaw in the morning owner charge 200 for rickshaw which barely costs 60

Golden Stay is a decent place to stay for family especially when you are visiting Amritsar to visit the Golden temple. It is walking from the hotel. Staff is very cordial. Ms Manpreet and others were very supportive. Cleanliness is given due attention atleast inside the hotel premises.

Very interior place.. My car met with scratches High traffic to reach to location. No food in hotel. Need to depend on Zomata food and need to collect at ground floor. No telephone working.

Overall this hotel- Golden stay is average. You can opt it if you want to explore Golden temple.

Didnt tried the food at property but location was good, easily accessible to everything. Facilities were up to the mark. Also we were really happy from the staff and hotel people. They were really helpful and polite.
