Beautiful experience

Location: next to laxman jhula (which is not operational) and right across the river from trimbakeshwar temple. The temple is well lit which is a beautiful sight at night from all rooms. How to reach: you can easily get a sharing auto from all major spots like nepali farm, ram jhula, triveni ghat etc. Which will drop you on main road. If you have heavy luggage, take a personal auto/scooty and go further down the main road. This route is longer but accessible by vehicles. If you have light luggage, take the market road. Market road has stairs but is a shorter route (5-7 mins walk, full of cafes and shops. From the hotel's main gate if you go right, you'll reach sai ghat in 3-4 mins. If you go left t you'll reach laxman jhula market which ultimately leads to the main road. Room: i booked a standard room. It wasn't fancy but just sufficient for 2 people with minimal luggage. View was breathtaking. I saw their other rooms too and they were even more gorgeous! food: the in-house restaurant food was good. We tried egg fried rice, sandwich, paratha, chai in room service, didn't visit the restaurant. Quantities can be a lot so check before ordering. Other services: they offer spa services in hotel ishan which is adjacent to kunwar residency (both hotels are a part of salvus. They also helped us book a rafting service which asked for 620 per person for 12km stretch and settled for 450 per person. But the experience wasn't great, so wouldn't recommend. Staff: we were attended by tarun who was a very pleasant, friendly and helpful person. He offered to keep our luggage in hotel premises after we checked out as our return bus was at midnight. He also arranged to drop us at main road auto stand at night which was pretty helpful.

5. Driver was driving rashly, over speeding, sudden breaking and he even did an accident and then ran away driving rashly through traffic. He also charged extra money saying it was MCD charges. He did not even show how much extra kilometres were there. We were afraid for our lives!

We had a memorable stay at the kunwar residency hotel in rishikesh. We got a river facing room and it was an amazing experience to wake up by the holy river ganga. The staff was warm, polite and friendly. The food was delicious and service was fast. Will definitely recommend this hotel to friends and family. Thank you.

Our stay at kunwar was extremely pleasant. To start with our rooms were upgraded without extra charge. All rooms were facing ganga and what a pleasant site. Rooms were extremely clean and tidy. Staff mayank rajesh and ajay were super helpful and always ready and happy to help. Room service and food was also good

This hotel is right next to laxman jhula. Beautiful view from the room of mandir on opposite bank. You can watch sandhya ganga art i from room. Very courteous staff. Can room, comfortable bed, bedding, clean sheets and bathroom. Room service is there. Paid parking is in walking diatance. Many restaurants in walking distance. Beautiful ganga ghat is in walking distance. Best hotel in rishikesh hands down. Location is not too crowded. Will come back again and again. Staying here will give you the complete rishikesh experience. Better than staying in 5 star hotels.

Very nice location. But not convenient with local auto as laxman jhula is closed. Need to travel by walking for long. But service and location and view is worth every effort we made.

I had a lovely time at kunwar residency. It is located at lakshman jhoola which at the time of the review was closed. The hotel is located in a quiet part of town so it doesn't get noisy at night, all rooms have a beautiful view of the ganges, and indeed of lakshman jhoola. The rooms are fitted with an ac and a television, hot water is available 24x7. The hotel staff are very kind, friendly and hospitable and arranged for my local travel. The hotel also has a restaurant which makes excellent aloo paranthas and poori bhaji. There are plenty of really good restaurants and cafes in the vicinity. The hotel is a long walk from ram jhoola which is the bustling part of town. Autos and vikrams are available to travel between the two neighbourhoods. All in all i will definitely be back at kunwar residency.

Pros: excellet view of mountains, temples and holy ganga river nice food helpful staff useful amenities in room cons: many of this hotel's rooms are downstairs and it doesn't have any lift, so, if you face difficulty in climbing up stairs then, go for rooms on the same floor as reception counter

Excellent location right next to laxman jhula, the staff is very courteous and the room is very neat and clean. The view from the room balcony is awesome. Don’t miss the tapovan ghat at a walkable distance from this one. Overall very good and highly satisfied. There are good number of food options pretty close by in case you choose not to avail the hotel food.
