So firstly my review is considering the price point and the value u get from it. u get a relatively clean room, balcony, lawn, working kitchen (with utensils and stove, even the basic masalas). It's truly a homestay. There is not much in the name of service is just a couple staying on the property but maybe thats a good thing and you have the kitchen to your disposal to make your own stuff.
I am a solo traveler and only 2 things matter to me, price and cleanliness (and internet 😬). And so I got a better deal that I expected for just around bucks (though I think considering the furnishings provided it deserves to be priced higher). The only major con I could see is no wifi which being in kashmir is more of an issue for working vacationers like me. I have airtel postpaid and works but only when it feels like 😜. I could manage my calls and work but it's definitely did trouble me. Actually was one of the primary reasons I had to checkout sooner. Also, since there was every possible thing/furnishing (some of it still had the plastic wrapping on) in the house it would have been great to have a washing machine but again not complaining and I'm extremely happy and delighted by the stay, cleanliness, facilities and the peacefulness of the place. The location by itself is not bad, just about 5 mins walk from the main Kud market but the approach road from all directions is in a super bad state.
Overall honestly I loved the place as it gave me more and much much more than I expected at the price I got. The only real and uncompromisable pain point being the internet connectivity.
The owner Mr. Gupta (though doesnt stay at the property) is quite responsive on the phone and seemed very kind and genuine.
