It is centrally located hotel in chembur. Near to very good eateries and railway station. Very courteous and helpful staff. Though room is small, it is very neat and clean. Liked the hotel.

The hotel is excellent for family accommodation. Great housekeeping. Courteous service from reception throughout your stay. There are very good vegetarian restaurants nearby so you don't miss the services of in-house restaurant. The hotel does serve complimentary limited breakfast from nearby restaurant.

Location wise property is really suitable. As many eateries, shopping outlets and happening places around for solo as well business travellers would like to spend dinner time dining with their teams. Rooms are average in size, or some may find small but hygienic and clean. Hotel don't have kitchen but they arrange from outside nearby restaurants.

Former bombayite here, who needs to make regular trips to the city. For my money, shanti palace is the best budget bargain in the entire city for three parameters: location (excellent neighbourhood in chembur, 30 mins from sobo, maybe 30-40 minutes from bk c and bandra, safety (female travellers can rest easy) and cleanliness (hyper small rooms but kept very, very tidy. Shanti palace does the very basic: there is one towel in the bathroom, one small chair and desk and an old wooden shelf for a wardrobe. But all of it is kept spic and span. Any other services you need can be accessed for additional charges. Compared to some other budget hotels in andheri, which are in grimy neighbourhoods, or sobo, which are a little run down, shanti palace, even with limited amenities, is a great bed-and-board option for an expensive city such as bombay.
