Excellent service and nice helpful staff. Really liked the stay and vibes of this place.

Breakfast provided in this reputed resort was not good below average quality

1. Location was good as it has its own private gateway towards sea. 2. ⁠Food quality is good and the complementary breakfast was awesome. 3. ⁠Support staffs were very much friendly and cooperative.

Rooms are not worth the money, better go for other options. They looked more like 2/3 star rather than a 4 star.

The staffs behaviour was just annoying.My guests were very annoyed . I am a regular visitor of all the sonar Bangla hotels and this one was horrible.

I have order starter in 8.40 and they give me at 10 pm very bad service.telling lie and not allow liquor in hotel premises including pool.they only allow in room to consume alcohol .they have to mention that but they did not do this .i will suggest u not to go in sonar bangla Mandarmani

The property is great for family stay. It is convenient to go to beach, has children park and food is good. The housekeeping and service is at par as well.

I had to pay another Rs.1155/- for driver accomodation whereas in basic amenities accomodation of driver was included..

This is my third stay here. We booked a platinum room this time. The room was spacious with a big balcony and a green lawn infront. The sea beach was just infront of the room with pleast breeze. The view from the room was marvelous. The room had king size bed, big screen TV, mini fridge, sofa, chairs, dining table, attached bathroom. All basic toiletries were given. There was no separate dry and wet area in the bathroom. The wall cabinet was spacious but lacked a safely locker. The hotel itself has a very large area with a standard size swimming pool, big restaurant, vast decorated lawn, kids playing area, outdoor barbecue facilities by the seaside , big parking lot, good security. The swimming pool can be accessed with proper swimming costumes only which is available for both rent and sell. The pool is very well maintained. The restaurant serves good quality tasty food, both in room and on site. Breakfast is free and there is good spread of food items to satisfy different taste buds, though the non veg options are limited in the breakfast menu. The hotel can be accessed with big cars easily. The staffs are polite , co operative and professional. The room service and house keeping service is awesome. This hotel doesn't have any fitness center, spa. They've laundry service. Accommodation is available for drivers but a bit costly. Overall, this a very nice hotel, though the room rent and food costs are towards a higher side. But considering the location, view and service they provide, the cost can be justified.

Food is high priced. The property is not well maintained. Beach access is worst compared to other resorts in the locality. Wifi connection was mentioned but the password was never shared even after repeated follow ups. Staffs are cooperative and room service is good.

The location of the property is great. Food was really excellent.The property includes Child friendly entertainment. Room Service was also very good.

property is huge and specially if youbare able to booknthe front rooms with sea view..it's worth..Alsonthe rooms atr big and clean..We enjoyed our stay butbthe resort needs a bit of improvement in the quality of food .. Food was ok swimming pool needs a bit of maintainence . overall I would give 7 out of 10..

Facilities provided by the hotel was not even of 2 star standard. We were allotted room number 1103, wherein: 1) Water being percolated in the bathroom 2) Bathroom lick was broken 3) Only 500 ml free water was made available perhead 4) AC was not operable and was fixed at 18 degree temp 5) No gym 6) Not much variety of morning breakfast in line with 5 star pricing

Location of the hotel I came to know through Google and stay in the hotel was comfortable as amenities are remarkable

Charges are too high in comparison to the overall service provided. Wait time for lunch and dinner after its order is unexpectedly high.

The property was execellence..The ambience and staff behaviour was also good..overall hotel sonar bangla is worth.

Have stayed at Taki and Kolaghat HSB. But Mandarmani did not live up to those standards. The staff and service are top notch and is typical of HSB standards, but the hotel needs a major upgrade. For the price we expected much better.

This hotel is actually a resort with proper space and beach access. The rooms are very well maintained and have an awesome beach view. One of the closest, if not the closest, to the beach. Pool are well maintained. Even food is good.

Four of us (senior citizens) spent 3 days at hotel Sonar Bangla at Mandarmani. Overall, it was a good break. Some of the positive points: Rooms had balconies and everything was functional. The food was reasonably tasty and the breakfast buffet had a good spread. The swimming pool was large and well-maintained. The grounds outside were a pleasure to walk in, with grass, paths, a playground, and plants. Benches near the beach gave us a good view of the sea and to feel the refreshing breeze. Most of the staff were smiling and well-mannered. We found the convenience store very useful for buying essentials and snacks. Some suggestions for improvement: The steps leading to the beach were broken at the bottom, with rocks strewn around, making it difficult to access the beach. The steps could be better-maintained, with a railing for safety. The steps leading to the entrances of each building should have railings. The bathrooms need shower cubicles to maintain wet and dry areas. They need toilet paper holders, ledges for putting toiletries like soap, and exhaust fans for better ventilation. The toilets could be better-maintained; we had to call housekeeping to clean our toilet because it was stained when we arrived. Pet owners should be made to clean up after their pets, as there was poop all over the otherwise beautiful lawns. The tables in the dining hall were in a pathetic condition, with the wood chipped at the edges; they need to be replaced. There was only one socket in our Standard AC room for charging our phones; these need to be increased. Wheelchair accessibility would be appreciated. I am giving a detailed review because I really liked this hotel and would love to return for more stays. I understand that the hotel will undergo renovation soon, so I hope that my recommendations will be considered seriously.

Excellent beach front location, excellent food and awesome service and cordial staff. Deserves a 5 star rating. Also has a nice pool. And a limited stationary shop inside property needs a special mention. Overall a great experience, will surely visit again.
