booked a 4-night stay at Hotel Sriveda, and upon arrival, I was informed that there are actually two properties: Hotel Sriveda and Hotel Sriveda Grand, the latter also referred to as Hotel Regal. Although both hotels operate under the same management, the distinction between the two wasn't clearly communicated during the booking process, which caused some initial confusion.
Room & Cleanliness:
The room matched the images displayed site in terms of layout and furniture. However, it appeared quite dated in person, with noticeable wall damage, peeling paint, and aging fixtures. Unfortunately, we also encountered cockroaches during our stay, which impacted the overall comfort level.
Amenities:
• Air Conditioning: The AC remote was non-functional, and the indoor unit lacked a working swing flap, making it difficult to control airflow or temperature.
• Television: Despite multiple requests over four days, a remote for the TV was never provided.
• Wi-Fi: Not available during our stay, as the management stated it was unplugged due to upcoming renovation work.
• Electric Kettle: The provided kettle was corroded and not suitable for use.
• Car Parking: No dedicated parking area. Guests must leave their keys at reception, as parking is managed externally on the street and shared with other vehicles, often involving a fee.
• Linens: Bedsheets were visibly torn and could use replacement.
• Hot Water: This was the only amenity that consistently worked well throughout the stay.
Staff & Service:
The staff were polite and consistently greeted guests with a smile, which was appreciated. The housekeeping team did respond to requests for cleaning, though it typically required multiple follow-ups.
Location:
The property is centrally located in the heart of Abids, a major shopping and commercial area, which is convenient for travelers looking to explore the city.
