Extremely Disappointing Experience at Hotel Royal Barbrik
I had one of the most unpleasant stays here. My booking was for 27–28 October with check-in at 11 AM on 27th, but I arrived early around 5 AM with my family and a small child. I politely requested an early check-in, even offering to pay extra if required. The staff bluntly said rooms were not available and refused to help.
Out of curiosity, I checked for 26–27 October, and surprisingly, rooms were showing available. I immediately booked , and guess what — they gave me a room right away! So clearly, the issue wasn’t availability, it was just poor attitude and no concern for guests’ comfort.
The second disappointment was with the meal plan. During lunch, there was no buffet — they asked us to order from the menu. But at dinner, they suddenly said many items from the MAP plan were “not available” and that I’d have to pay extra for most dishes. It was , unprofessional, and definitely not the experience you expect from a so-called reputed hotel.
Overall, very poor hospitality, unhelpful staff, and zero transparency. I will never recommend this property to anyone traveling with family. There are far better hotels nearby that actually value their guests.
