The property is located right by the national park entrance. Close to all restaurants. The owner is very friendly and cooperative. Would need some work on cleanliness in the rooms though.

Fine there. Away from noise of main road. Best was friendly staff and especially manager. Even if you did not book online the lion safari and you are ticketless. He knows a way. Sure. And with lions. Be sure. I know the hotel. Since it was the first there.

Nice hotel for stay in very prime location and very reasonable rates. Hotel owner was also very co-operative. He managed vehicle to us for safari. Hotel is situated very near to safari, just walking distance. Rooms were clean, hot water was available.

Awesome experience stay at Umang Hotel. Hareshbhai owner of hotel is very cooperative & food quality & service is also very good. Hotel is nearby at Sinh Sadan which is a big advantage. Rooms are also clean & good. We really enjoyed the stay at Hotel Umang.

Good location, big and nice room. Hotel staff are nice too.
Good location. Walk-able distance from sing sadan main gate, where gypsy safari starts. Staff behavior is nice.

Visited 12/13.03.2020. Nice location, very close (200 meter) to Gir National Park office (Sinh Sadan), where the safari bookings are done and the safaris start. So, if one books for an early morning safari (06:00 hours) for which the reporting time is half an hour ahead of the safari timing, no other hotel (excepting Sinh Sadan Guest House) could be better to reach from. Also very close to the Sasan Gir Railway station (600 meter) and the bus stop (150 meter). Overall cleanliness is lacking. Food, I did not try. Mr. Harish (owner/manager) is a wonderful and helpful person. There was no hot water in my bathroom, Mr. Harish arranged for it in no time with an immersion heater. Would highly recommend others.

Don't expect too much with Hotel neatness and cleanliness. Batrooms are ok and there is no direct hot water supply but they will arrange hot water. Staff behaviour is very good. Overall nice Hotel if you want to do safari

Good Stay . Recommended for adventure tourist- value for money stay . Decent rooms with basic amenities. 2mins from Gir Forest entrance . The hotel owner and staff is very helpful.

Hôtel is well situated and the staff is very helpful for giving information and helping to organize safari ans sight seeing. Room was clean and comfortable but a little run down ( which is expected in a budget hotel Good and early breakfast available but no meals ( many restsurant nearby WiFi is not coming to the room although available at reception

Nice to stay. Very near to the Gir Safari Booking office. Rooms are neat though not look like a star hotel. No food facility. Hot water available. Service is good. Very ideal for common man. Homely atmosphere present. No mosquitoes but provided Good Night liquid also.

The location is fantastic, walking distance to the Safari area. Lot of Food Outlets available close by. The hotel will also cook food for you if you give the order in advance. Try Kathiyawadi food there, taste is awesome. Harish Bhai, the hotel manager, is a very supportive guy. Safari jeep arranged at the doorstep. No hassles. John, the german shepherd and hotel pet, is very cute and lovable. Overall a good experience if you are in Sasan Gir for the Safari and overnight stay. Good Value for money.

Budget hotel

The hotel is located in the interior. Also, there is no food place inside it. Plus there is not much of a facility, the sockets were broken. Hot water coming only in the morning, but for this budget, this is ok. Though if you are looking for budget hotel, this is it. If you are in couple, try to avoid this.

Umang hotel is located near to forest office and sinh sadan, where jungle trail permits are issued by forest department. Rooms are good, hotel staff is cooperative, food is also good. Other places of tourist interest like Somnath, Diu and Junagadh are nearby.
