Recommended to have a better restaurant nearby.
The only thing that the karthik residency lack was the restaurant. We have to travel about 5 to 6 kms to find good restaurants. As this is in the residential area, the access to the other tourist places were quite far. Overall the environment was good.

The hosts are lovely. The place is very close to serenity beach. [Almost walk able]. A decent room .. But loved every second staying here. Good for female/solo travelers. Helps if you are travelling by car or rent a moped. Would recommend this place solely for the hosts. They are amazing. They can deliver the food but do not cook there. Parking available for 2/4 wheeler.

The rooms were very spacious.. Service of staff needs to improve.. Serenity beach is very close but other tourist places are beyond 5km.. Problem of food is there as there is no restaurant in the immediate neighborhood.. However you can enjoy in the balcony with cool winds and conversations with your friends and family members. ..

The staff running it were super nice and the room was very large! Very close to the beach and right off the main road. The price was a little high, but I suspect that might be because it was a holiday weekend. The downside: the bathroom. There's a geyser, but hot water only came from the bottom faucets, not the shower head, and the toilet continuously dripped water.

The room we have stayed was very homely and cleanly maintained ... Murali sir was very helpful to guide the places and he arranged the things when my wife not feeling well. Nice stay, peaceful area and reasonable price. We got comfortable and spacious room. At the end of your vacation you would definitely miss "Karthik Residency". Recommended place to stay in Pondicherry. Thank you

Room and location was nice. It was worth it. Near to places where I wanted to travel. Good room service was provided. Bathroom was clean and hygienic. Food was available on order. Weather was good. Totally worth staying Enjoyed a lot.

Average room but staff helped us to check in early morning on that day!! It was morning 6 am we were looking for hotels to check in but other residency didn't want us to check in during the early morning.

It's located quite far from main city, so one has to incur the costs of auto rickshaws a lot. The hotel is actually a guest house, so if you are planning to stay with big group to accompany then you might like it. No restaurants around the location of hotel. But it is close to serenity beach and auroville. If these are the things you are looking to spend time at then may prove as a good option.

Good thing is Rooms are quite spacious. But location is bit far other spots in Pondicherry.

Rooms & Bathroom are nt clean. Insects & Lizards also seen. Location is in residential area and parking available for 2 wheelers.Do not expect any complimentary benefits like Tea etc. Wifi facility is available but speed was quite slow.

Rooms were very old. Wall paint was coming off due to water leakages. Beds were stinking, bedsheet was not clean. We saw warms inside our room. Bathroom was also bad. This property is not worth more than 800rs per night. But i was charged approximately 2500- per night for 3 nights. Since we reached very late in the night so had to stay there for one night. But next day we looked for another hotel in nearby area in the same price which was really good. My money got wasted on this booking and i cannot ask for any refund.
