The location of the property is close to the sun temple. The service you get at the location was surprisingly excellent. Sharad kumar ji the owner was very helpful. He suggested the right places to eat / buy and places to visit. The eating options were limited specifically in konark but the place suggested by him was the best of the available options. Authentic odia village experience - it is a traditional odia house converted into a lodge. The hosts surat babu and his son nalini are warm and look after the guests with a personal fervour. This property gives you a classic odia village household feel including a tethered cow! this place is for travellers and not tourists looking for creature comforts. The walking distance to konark is a tremendous advantage to catch morning sunrise and evening light and sound show at the black pagoda.

I stayed in labanya lodge on 13. 7. 24. It is near to sun temple and also near to the bus stop of chandrabagha beach and puri also. Number of trees are in the premises of lodge for fresh air. Ac and geaser is functioning well.

Location is an advantage here. Not crowded, slightly away from the bus stand region, where most of the lodges are situated. Very clean room. Owner and the caretaer are very humble and helpful. Lot of greenery inside the lodge boundary. The only negative thing is the supply of drinking water.

Thanks to the owner of labanya lodge, who made my stay here peaceful, safe n secure. The room is well maintained, clean and spacious. The owner was so generous that he permitted me to use his scooty. Any solo traveller, can bet on this place. Had a wonderful experience.
