Review Of Luxury Cottages in the Shack

I recently booked my stay at Luxury Cottages through MakeMyTrip. While the booking process was easy and convenient, my overall experience at the hotel was below expectations. The first issue I noticed was at the check-in – surprisingly, the staff did not ask for any identification, which raised concerns about the safety and security standards of the hotel. The room was not clean, with visible dust and lack of proper maintenance. This was disappointing, especially for a place that labels itself as a "luxury" stay. On top of that, the AC was not functioning properly, making the room uncomfortable, particularly during the day. The food was average in taste – not bad, but not memorable either. However, the prices were unreasonably high for the quality and portion size offered, which made dining at the hotel feel like poor value for money. The staff were polite and responsive, which was one of the few positives. Despite the other shortcomings, the service team did their best to assist when needed. My stay at Luxury Cottages was not as pleasant as expected. While the service staff were good, the lack of basic cleanliness, poor AC performance, high food prices, and casual check-in process made it a disappointing experience. I would recommend the hotel management to work on cleanliness, maintenance, and guest safety protocols to improve the overall guest experience.

Very bad room door lock not working and bed is very derty, fan is not adjusted proper, bathroom is so bed mere life ka sabse bekar experience

was a pleasing experience with good amenities and hospitality the pool is very good and the enviournment is just awesome with science serenity and privacy

Stay in this hotel was excellent and all the staff was very polite. And whenever i will visit i will be staying in this hotel only.

Location was outside of mandarmoni, not family friendly, i checked out on same day of cheeked in, just horrible. Not recommended for family, waste of money

Hotel is newly constructed but fully developed. Ac are not working fully on electricity, generator was used to run ac that too only at night. No tv in the rooms. Even the beach near by is not developed.

The staffs were very nice and co-operative but the place we visited is shore of sea to enjoy sea you need to visit around 1. 5 km at least. Also the place was smelling bad which staffs informed due to dry fish season still they should at least spray rooms with good freshners than. Hope they make things better for tourist

I had booked a room on 1st september to 3rd september in this so called luxurious cottage, but after reaching there had to cancel the room. Except me and my family, there were no other tourists at that time, no local families also. No security, at the end of mondarmoni in nearby mohona, approximately 8km away from main mondarmoni beach, very unsafe for any family, i feel scared to stay there for a moment. I have lost financially as i booked for 2night @, only refund me 1500. The room condition is very poor and they charged huge for that. So people do not go that so called luxurious cottage "the shack.

The hotel people taken extra money. Very wrong and bad behaviour. Very poor service. I will never ever recommend anyone to book this hotel

Room was ok and clean. But price of food was high as compared with quality. Rooms had tv and ac with clean beds.
