Review Of Mamalla Beach Resort

Overall we have had a great time with the family. Our request for party hall has been graciously accepted and offered at free of cost where we had a whale of time. On infrastructure, it can be modernised and the food taste can be much better. Scenic view from the restaurant was fantastic and the private beach is well maintained.

Except for the location and beach proximity.. rest everything is below average for the amount paid. The food is terrible. The bread toaster was very bad even the bread smelled pretty bad. The WiFi network is very bad we could use the network for connecting to system. No local chef is available to bother about the taste of South Indian dishes. Disappointed

parking space is enough rooms are big and clean sea is just 2 min walk resort restaurant is a charm - tasty food with sea view house keeping and other staff are helpful and soft spoken pool is well maintained and quite big

A/C is not working, I have ordered egg fried rice to my surprise I havegot chicken fried rice, Blankets are not good, Room hygiene is not there.

Over all good. Beach touching property. Friendly staff. Back side beach is very steep. Lunch buffet is 1000 per person, which I found unreasonable.

Very happy with the stay and food. Spacious deluxe room. To mention some cons. No play area for kids and mosquitos in room.

Enjoyed the beach, food, stay and swimming pool. Nice big and spacious room with a king size bed. Tv wasn't working but it didn't matter and we also did not ask the reception about it. The beach is a very short walk. Buffet breakfast had a lot of varieties, the traditional south indian food and bread, butter jam, orange juice and cut fruits. Omelette and desai were made fresh when asked. Chicken curry, paratha, peas curry were also there.

Great staff. Great location and almost everything is available in the room which one would expect. Definitely a great choice for family outings and stay.

I stayed at this resort during challenging weather conditions as Cyclone Fengal was expected to hit the shore. We arrived at 5 PM on 30th November, after navigating some detours due to heavy rain. The staff were accommodating, but the circumstances made for a mixed experience. Upon arrival, we found that the resort was running on a generator due to a government-mandated power shutdown in Mamallapuram as a preventive measure for 48 hours. Unfortunately, power cuts were frequent, and we experienced about 45 minutes without even basic lighting upon check-in. While this wasn’t the resort's fault, it did affect our stay. The rooms are spacious, with large windows providing good natural light. However, the floors were a bit sticky due to the high humidity and proximity to the beach. On request, housekeeping promptly cleaned the room, which was a relief. We stayed in pool-facing rooms, which were comfortable, though it’s worth noting that the resort doesn’t offer any beach-facing accommodations. The restaurant is beautifully located at the edge of the beach, providing a serene dining atmosphere. The food was decent—not exceptional but satisfactory. The highlight of the resort is the direct access to the beach. Sitting on the edge of the resort, gazing at the sea, and enjoying the sound of the waves was truly relaxing and made up for the other inconveniences. This spot is perfect for unwinding and connecting with nature. Overall, while the resort did its best under the circumstances, the experience was slightly hindered by the unavoidable challenges posed by the cyclone. I’d recommend this resort for its serene location and spacious rooms, but be prepared for minor inconveniences during adverse weather conditions.

Such a beautiful property to stay, food was fantastic and the beach view restaurant was awesome. Rooms were meet and clean and the big swimming pool was an highlight.

Had a nice stay at resort. Location is good, close to the main road and proximity to private beach service was very good and breakfast was ok the staff was courteous and helped in all aspects

Pleasant location, before to mahabalipuram on highway road, nice property, little old from outside but inside well furnished, spacious rooms & bathrooms along with separate dressing area also with balcony with beautiful swimming pool view. Pool is well maintained with clean waters, size of the pool is also adequate with different depths. Rooms are cleanly maintained and lot of staff are there, with responsive nature. Best part is it has private beach, property opens in to the beach, restaurant is with beach view. Buffet breakfast was too good, but lunch and dinner prefer outside, and restaurants are available nearby. Good place to chill out & relax. Nice stay. Value for money. Definitely recommend especially for families safer & happy stay.

Well maintained properly. Good service. Food quality good. But limited dishes and timing. Break fast was good. Staff was very cooperative. Upfront sea beach location. Though room are not sea facing due to trees obstructing view. Over all good for family vacation. Rooms are clean.
