I stayed in kathrine house boat that is part of meena group. Ambiance and stay was excellent. Loved the hospitality showered by bhasharath bhai the owner of house boat. He made us feel at home. Try the home cooked dinner in the house boat. It’s simply amazing

It is a value for money property

The location, property, looks, facilities all were very good, I am happy with all of these and would say it is a value for money, but the food served was not hot, as the kitchen is located outside the houseboat the server has to bring it from outside of boat and it leads to a cold serve. Rest I am happy with the property

Poor Stay

The breakfast had just poha up-ma and bread. The poha was tasteless. We were in the costliest executuve room. The room was ok but there was nothing that justified the hefty cost. We were told the dinner would be 1000k per person which seemed too much so we were told to go the banks and eat however we were told that the shikara will not be available after 7 pm so we had to rush and parcel food coz who eats dinner at 7 pm? the room heater doesnt heat enough. And when we asked abt the bath tub they said not to use it as if the water falls outside then it ruins the wood. I mean pay a bomb and not use the bathtub? when we insisted they agreed. So all in all doesnt justify the charges paid. You would do well to ignore this houseboat unless the room cost is not skyhigh.

Dal lake crossing boat very poor behaviour to me he said it’s changing 1000 rupees for crossing the dal lake to meena house boat truly bead think never visited hear.
