Let me say this - MPT has got the best property in town and it is huge. It is recently painted (and already broken and damaged in parts). But even the fresh room handed to us was totally dusty. We were told that all was well. We carried for the night, and the next morning, we handed the key and requested the Manager - who instructed the concerned staff member in our presence - to clean the room (and we made it clear that it was very dusty). In the evening we find that the room and the toilets have not been cleaned, the beds not done, the towels not replaced. I go to the Manager and complain. The person whom the Manager had instructed is present, and is questioned. He answers back saying (lying) that he was instructed to clean the room, and he has (only) cleaned the room. The Manager (defeatedly) sent another person - who claimed that he looked only after the super deluxe rooms (!!) and was not aware of this, and he made the bed. Another person came and did a slip-slod cleaning of the room (cleaned nonetheless) (and exposed that the first person had not in the first place cleaned the room at all. The cups which were lying from the previous evening had not been cleared!! At the end , the staff who cleaned left you with a feeling that they had done you a favour!!!
Hacing said this, the restaurant staff is a little better, and try to somewhere respond to you.
MPTDC has no business to take monies from public for services it is not capable of offering.
Please look for someplace else for your stay at Amarkantak.
