Review Of Munlom Nature Resort | Rooms & Restaurant

It is a great cozy place to enjoy solitude silence and be with nature. The access from the main road is terrible 4.5kms. But once you reach the resort, it is great. Do not expect luxury but the rooms are neat and clean and hygienic. The staff is helpful and cooks amazing local food. Due to heavy rains, we were out of electricity for 1 full day but we enjoyed the tranquil environment and the opportunity to spend time with nature and each other without phones, screens etc. would definitely want to come back to Munlom

Couple of points i want to add for this property and its hosts. This as mentioned is not a resort but a homestay with an elevated stay feel. The location is very hard to locate and the road is not a easy drive as well. But after you reach it is heaven. There is no disturbance and is located within the immense variety of flora and fauna of sikkim. The hosts are very helpful and courteous and the homemade food was awesome. Just to good. Please promote the location and don't hesitate to get back to me in case of any questions.

Food was amazing. Location is somewhat isolated. Those who are looking to stay away from all the hustle and bustle of life. Surely choose this place to stay.

This is a great place to stay for couples. The ambience is romantic and very far away from crowd. However, the location is very far away from mangan city and also you need permit from local police to get there as this dzongu is a restricted area. So, if you have to stay here then make sure that when you make permit for north sikkim, include dzongu area too

Very good stay, the rooms very clean and staff very helpful. The food also was very well done. The only problem we faced was that the place was very deep into the forest and so the roads were bad and very narrow. To reach this place is a task but otherwise, the property is beautiful.

Would have given rating in minus (terrible staff and bad behavior too). Will never recommend anyone no food comfort, no light comfort, no privacy comfort, bad location, bad people, bad experience. Worst location experience ever. Manager has attitude. Staff had no manners. Roads are harassing. The navigation is wrong. What all to write? Writing a book is also less.

Before I mention anything else, I must tell that the location of the Resort is remote. It's quite difficult to find but it's Worth every penny! We booked double cottage Machan and rooms are exorbitantly clean. Richen, property manager is very courteous and so as the other staff Pencho, Dawa, Sanjay and many more. There are no intercoms, you can find a few insects as well as it's a Nature Resort! It is literally in middle of the jungle and I loved every bit of it! Rinchen also accompanied us for a short trek to Tashi Choling monastery which is on top of the hill! Brilliant stay! Highly recommended!

This resort is located in Dzongu which is sparsely populated reserved area inside forest. Accommodation is in wooden cottages with all modern amenities. Amazing organic and local food. Reception cum dining area has indoor games like dart etc. Only complaint is that we stayed only for 1 night. This place deserves at least 2 nights. You can relax and unwind in the lapse of nature. Tips for getting to resort- this resort is located in Dzongu (18 km off road from Mangan). This is reserved area and you require a separate permit. Ask your tour operator/driver to add Dzongu in North Sikkim permit, that is issued from Gangtok. Also 18 km road from Mangan to Dzongu is really bad and takes approx 1.5 hour. We had to pay extra to our driver from Mangan to Dzongu. It's better to include Dzongu in your itinerary before. When you leave Mangan to Dzongu call hotel guys so that they can guide driver. They can also arrange for vehicle.

Munlom is located peacefully deep in the woods of Sikkim. The way to this resort is really bumpy and scary but the stay is worth it. The resort is beautiful but they have a few dogs in the compound and their fur is seen everywhere. There is very few options for food. Though the resort is located inside the forest, they don't provide transport. From Gangtok to the resort, transport charge is Rs. 3500.

Property is constructed in such a creative manner. It is in the mid of the forest area far from the main City. There was an electricity problem. They should have electricity backup since the place is eco-friendly so they can have solar panels. Electricity contraction should be reduced. Initially, the place seems scary because it is in the mid of thick jungle when you enter, it feels like amazon jungle. Finding the place is a bit problematic because we landed into the wrong one at first. The place is good for Nature lovers but for elder people, it will hard for them since the place is far from the main City. People can use own vehicle to reach the property but in monsoon season it will be tough. More than one night stay is recommended it Worth for stay.

Location was good. The property was in an isolated place and the Road approaching it was not so good. Due to the bad conditions of the Road, it took too much time to reach there. But after reaching, we had seen that the property was very nice. Rooms of the property were very good. That was neat and clean. But the facilities were limited.

It was an okay stay. The rooms were also okay, like as we expected. But there were a few things which were charged a bit extra. The food was good and the staff was really nice.

The reception was great. The manager Mr. Kim was awesome with respect to the hospitality. They serve hot food which is organic. The morning walk to the Monanstry was awesome.

Hotel was really outstanding and awesome, in single it was actually heaven place and specially kim owner, kitchen and other staff persons was very much caring and co-operative people. I don't have any complains related to anything.

Lovely property with many facilities. The stay here was equivalent to hotel stay.
