Great place and friendly caretakers. The rooms are cozy and clean, and the homestay is at the walking distance from thotadda beach.

Ocean green homestays is one of the best homestays i have come across in the midst of nature and the beach is just 5 minutes walk. The home cooked food is too good. The hosts are very helpful and just a call away. Full marks to the homestay.

Very good nice stay near beach. Homely food of our choice near to kannur and tottada beach in a serene atmosphere.

It’s beautiful stay. Absolutely loved the aesthetics. Very well kept and neat. The host, mr sanjeevan, is an extremely warm person and someone who’d go the extra mile to make sure their guests’ are at ease. Would definitely love to go back!

Rooms were clean and food was also good

There are no facilities depending on the amount charged. They demanded extra money for a/c.

They won't provide any food, the location shown is inaccurate, no privacy, many other houses are surrounding. Not suitable for bachelor. The place is not clean. This is not a single-room facility. Exactly like a lodging arrangement so people get privacy only inside the room. Caretakers won't allow sitting there. We took this room after seeing the star rating but realized all those are fake ratings.

About 400 m from the beach, surrounded by trees on all sides which is great but also does not offer a great view. The rooms are quite basic in terms of amenities. The host was warm if terms of service. The food was authentic mallu style. Overall good value for money but nothing spectacular about it. Locating this exact location was a bit difficult as the google map pointed a little further.

Just a short walk away from the cottage, is a picturesque and pristine beach set in the lap of greenery. To an offbeat traveler, Ocean Green homestay is like a cocoon to unwind and destress in the company of the vast blue ocean.

My experience at ocean green was awesome .. Good service :-) the service was really good. We got tasty foods all the times we are in need of it. It is the place were it protect our privacy always. Near we have beach side veiw.

The best option for someone who likes stay in the lap of nature. The house is located at a beautiful location, surrounded by lot of greenery & neatly maintained by Mr. Sanjeev's family. They will be on there toes to serve you with a gentle touch of love & care, so that you have comfortable & charming stay. Choose for a peaceful & memorable time :)

We stayed at Ocean Green Homestay for two nights and three days in November of 2016. The location, the ambience, the rooms, the food, the beach were all totally worth it. Sanjeevan, the owner of the property was prompt in meeting us at a central point in Kannur and escorting us to the property as it is located in interior Kannur. The place is maintained spotlessly, the lawns perfectly watered and green. There is a simple room, with two beds, one table, attached bathroom, cup-board and a mosquito net. However, there were no mosquitoes. The property also has a open verandah with hammocks, swings, lazy chairs and a dining table, perfect place to chill with chai and a book. Sanjeevan and his family cook the amazing food at reasonable prices, breakfast is included in the package. Lunch and dinner were served on request. They will make what you like, or you can eat what they make. The food was humble, tasty and not too heavy on the palette or the pocket. Most vegetables are grown in the property. Seafood is caught closeby. The beach near the property is a serene, small beach with rock formations. The sea isn't too deep and is perfect for a swim. The beach is clean and not crowded, perfect to watch the sunset. All in all, perfect weekend made even better by Ocean Green Homestay. 10/10, totally recommend this place.

It was a very homely experience with the caretaker checking with us multiple times what we wanted to eat/drink. We were served home cooked food, not spicy, loved it. Reasonably maintained, value for the price we paid. Beach is 250 m walk from the homestay, so that was convenient. Please call the homestay for last mile directions, not easy to find at all.
