Review Of Osian Sand Dunes Resort and Camps

The stay was terrible. They took extra money for offered food and they loot us by giving false information about jeep safari that they will take to sand dunes for 1. 5 hours but they finished in 10 minutes. Dont go there and believe them

The staff is good but the owner has not provided anything to the staff to give to customers. Sheer waste of your money. The property is situated alone nothing at all nearby. The towels given to us were torn i have posted a pic. No sought of entertainment nor any thing. Giving poha one plate and paranthas in rs 500 per head. Tents and bedsheets pathetic and full of smell. If u come in train there is no nearby transport to go anywhere. Come at your own risk. My was a really bad experience the owner just wants money and money and money and nothing at all he wants to give in back. Really bad

Staff was not supportive. Didn't get any facilities as mentioned. Wastage of time as well as money. Very poor don't go there

1. Food spread was very limited 2. For the amount i paid, there should be some new year activity, some entertainment, but nothing of such was a valuable 3. Charged very high for extra person, some where about 4000- 4. No kids activity only thing which i liked was, the tents where neat and spacious as shown in the picture and the host mr. Mahipal was very polite and sweet spoken my suggestion for proprty: 1. Please improve food spread 2. Have some kids activity in your property

Owner was very polite and helpful. It was a new experience for us and they also arranges safaris lunch was really terrible and they took 500 rs per head for 2 types of dal, chapati and rice. They also didn't give proper mineral water. They gave something called rose water and it tasted terrible. I wish they had provided proper brand mineral water. Also once you reach the resort without own vehicle they charge you a bomb to go to town which is just 5 km away

Pathetic would be an understatement to describe our experience. The hotel has no covid precautions. The food was bad, staff was unkempt. The bed sheets and the quilt look like they have not been washed for a while. The toilet in our room was filthy with no option of hot water. But the so called jeep safari really takes the cake. It’s 1000 per person and they drive you for 10 mins next to the hotel in something that remotely resembles a desert. The hotel doesn’t even check guest id cards which i am pretty sure is illegal. Please avoid this place if you can

Staff is good and takea good care of the guest. Car parking is also available. Rooms are decent. The food quality is good and may be its locally produced.

Th place was very good, we were four female friends stayed at camp and it’s completely safe for a girls trip. The cook and helper there were very humble and cooperative, very down to earth and nice people. They have taken care of smallest things of us and keeping checking our needs. An overall fantastic stay.

I booked a seluxe room but was given tent saying that deluxe rooms are sold out. Ir was so cold i had to leave midnight from the hotel

Osian Sand Dunes is a very rare and beautiful feel of a desert. I would definitely suggest this to everyone who wants to experience a clean, neat, safe. Services are excellent. Beautiful evenings with a small local live music and dance event followed by unlimited snacks. Food is tasty. Better to go for camel ride than safari. Camel ride gave a unique experience and you will get to know all the ups and downs of the locality while interacting with camel rider.

Service excellent. Camel ride is great. Only single sand dune in the area. So please don't have high expectations and do not confuse with camel safari of Jaisalmer.

The correct name of the resort is Osian Dune Resort Camp. Since Pratapnagar is a fairly large it would be better to add 'Off Philadi Road' in its address. The resort if fairly well located for visiting the sand dunes and has sixteen tents, one of which occupied by the Manager of the property. The Swiss tents are very well equipped and provide comfortable living but the supply of hot water for bathing in the morning was for too short a period to be of much help. Since the supply of hot water is through boilers. Perhaps the resort tried to save on the heating. Also, of the fifteen vacant tents and I as the sole occupant I was given a tent which was the only one whose exterior light was not functional. The resort is lenient with its serving of tea/coffee and some snacks. The camel safari was well organised but the evening cultural programme did not have much to much to write home about. The food preparation for dinner was good with a variety of dishes but the oil used to fry the parathas for breakfast was of poor quality. The area around the resort has a variety of birds and mongoose and rabbits. Some deer were also spotted at a distance during the camel ride. The view of the sunset from the top of the sand dune was one of the best that I have ever witnessed since the sun was visible till the very last of its going below the horizon. With some improvements the resort can be a priced place to visit and stay.
