Excellent Stay
Sarmila and I stayed for two days at Puzhayoram Homestay in Mananthavady. In no time, we formed a friendship with the host Raghunath. He is very unobtrusive. He spent his time reading books. He keeps a library in his house, and he is very proud of it. A tributary of the Kabani River flows nearby. Birds are singing. Some birds are knocking on the window glass, as if they are part of this homestay. There is a bird's nest hanging over the dining area on the terrace, where we saw a tiny bird resting intermittently, tired from flying, mischievously pecking at the mirrors. Raghunath silently kept us company with care. He suggested places to visit. On the third day, we left very early at 4 AM. We found him already awake to bid us farewell. We felt loved. We will stay here again on our next visit to Wayanad. Mukundanunni
