The stay was good, no problems with all the amenities, it was located so near to the cliff and accessible from all the cafes. Had ample parking space and very supportive staff.

Please do not book this place. Bad furniture, broken furniture, room service is not good. For food you need to walk for 5 mins to reach the restaurant. They have multiple properties but have a common restaurant. They do not provide sufficient towels or refill water bottles unless requested. There are many other properties near the sea side which are much better at a decent price.

The pool was well-maintained during my stay and added a refreshing touch, especially after spending time at the beach. Rooms were comfortable and fairly spacious, giving good value for the price. That said, a few areas could use improvement. Housekeeping could be more consistent, and amenities like bathrooms and bed linens could be better maintained. The in-house dining options were limited, so it’s worth checking nearby restaurants at the cliff for more variety. Overall, this is a budget-friendly resort with a great location and a relaxing vibe. Perfect for travelers who want easy beach access, a nice pool, and a peaceful atmosphere, as long as you don’t expect luxury standards.

Horrible Experience – Not Worth It 1. This is not a 3-⭐️⭐️⭐️ hotel . Rooms are like a railway lodge 2. I booked 3 rooms, but the hotel had no proper car parking. (Only 4 parking spaces for 35 rooms!) 3. Breakfast was mentioned as “included,” but it was not in the hotel. Instead, we had to walk 200 meters or take a cab 🚕 to another place. 4. The swimming pool was full of excess chlorine . It caused burning and irritation on children’s skin . 5. The reception staff’s attitude was rude and unhelpful. Overall: A highly disappointing stay. Definitely not recommended

My stay at Rachanas Black Beach Resort in Varkala was extremely disappointing. There was no hot water in the room—they gave us a risky heating rod instead. The room was full of bed bugs, covered in dust, and had a constant foul smell. The toilet seats were in poor condition, and the swimming pool was highly chlorinated. To make things worse, there was a dummy telephone in the room with no LAN connection—completely useless in case of any need. The only decent part of the stay was the complimentary breakfast. Not recommended.
