Review Of Rajputana Desert Camp

Had a wonderful stay at Rajputana Desert Camp! The whole staff is so amazing — they offer perfect Rajasthani hospitality, are very welcoming, and take great care of every guest. The tents were clean and comfortable, the food was delicious, and the evening cultural program was a treat. The rules and regulations for bachelors make this camp a perfect family-friendly place. Highly recommend it for an authentic and safe desert experience in Jaisalmer!

Great location and very comfortable tents the staff is really good and the desert activities we're arranged well and very reasonable. Food is also good (veg only). Hot water is not available all times. But overall great stay.

I was having lots of expectations, like great service, great food and most important great environment but all were of average class only. It's all okay for us. They also charge heavily for pick and drop from Jaisalmer city.

Tents in rooms didn't meet expectation. There was no soap in bathroom. Water in hot water tap in the early morning was full of dust. It was literally black. You can not close the bathroom because there is no option to do, no string, no zip. Food was good. One room, two meals and a camel safari I got for Rs 3500 which was reasonable but not happy with facilities at all.

Rajputana camp is decently located and has a good recall among the locals but its highly priced so do negotiate by directly calling to camp. I think thats more to do with Make my trip marketing it and pricing it significantly higher. Rest the location, folk song and dance and ca, el ride was good.

I stayed with my family at this camp on 31st December but the experience was very bad. The charge was very high citing gala dinner for new year but the food quality was very poor. They don't even provide drinking water and make you buy water bottles at double the MRP. I had charged for an extra bed at the time at the time of booking but the extra bed was not provided till 11pm (despite asking them to do so 8-10 times) by which time the kids had slept. In the breakfast they provided cold food and were reluctant to provide fresh bhature/bread. Overall quality and service is very poor.

Had a pleasant stay. Food and service was good. When we visited there was no crowd, so didn't get to enjoy the night stay and music.. They arranged for only one time Camel ride & promised they will take us near border in camel or Zeep, but visit to border was banned from govt which was not conveyed to us. Overall, experience was good.

No reservation with Rajputana Desert camp. It was up to the mark as promised. But for similar or less money, one can get stay at 4* hotel near Jaisalmer. It's best to check in at Hotel and drive for evening excursion at sam dunes desert ( Jeep safari and camel ride till sunset) and return back to hotel ( 45 kms each way). The cultural show in hotel at the time of dinner is much better than that at camp. So I don't recommend staying at camp without any reservations for any particular camp, unless you are a camp lover.

Room is very good and clean. Only non AC rooms were available but they were good. Camel ride was very nice as they took us to sunrise and it was beautiful. One must experience it. Food was decent. Very good entertainment program in the evening. Jeeps are also available for hire.
