I searched dozens of places to stay in varanasi without satisfaction. But as soon as i saw ratnakar homestay, i immediately booked it. I am more than happy about my decision. This place is more than 250 years old, and it gives you the perfect heritage feel. This was the residence of a great poet. Now it is being taken care by his 4th generation descendants. They are doing an excellent job. The rooms are very neat and tidy. The pure home-made food is absolutely delicious. And they serve you with lot of love. The homestay is close to important ghats of gangaji.

We had an amazing stay at ratanakar bhawan with a family of small kids and elderly. Hosts helped us with milk for infant whenever we asked for it. They also provided us cutlery for outside food we got in even late night. The staff was very prompt, helpful and courteous. They also arranged for boat ride for evening aarti. Guided us with itinerary for varanasi. Most importantly we left a baggage behind accidentally and they sent their staff to station just in time.

Finding the location can be little tough, but overall we had a great stay once we got in. Convenient location to reach all the religious places. All the family members were very warm, we got a real home stay experience. Food was very tasty and served with lot of love. The only suggestion is on the housekeeping which can be improved a bit more to the 4 star levels. We look forward to go back again.

RATNAKAR BHAWAN i.e. Really Heritage Homestay at Kashi... Fantastic Stay... We're 7 persons where 3 are Senior Citizens & 1 Super Senior Citizen who staied there from 7th to 11th March, 2023. Starting from First experience, We checked in at late night 2 am and Mr. Rahul Ratnakar (Owner) himself with 2 other members came near Chowk to receive us. Too Humble Person Rahul Bhaiya is...! Great Hospitality, Superb Ambience, Beautiful Tarrece Garden & Great Stay... Mother of Rahul Bhaiya is also so nice like we thought we're all Family Members. From Day one to last day of Stay we felt really that she is like one of our Family Member... This place near to Shivala Ghat about 220 m i.e. 3 minutes walk from Bhawan. Overall experience was excellent. 6 out of 5 Stars😄...

This was my first time in a homestay and was pleasantly surprised. The owners went out of their way to ensure i was comfortable. Being cautious about eating out, i opted for a dinner. A variety of vegetables, lentils and bread made a sumptuous mean. Not to mentioned, the elder lady of the house sat with me and we had a pleasant conversation. Good memories.

Spacious room, neat and clean interiors, well stocked with bed and bath linen, tea/coffee maker, toiletries and heater. Rahul is very hospitable and his mom makes delicious meals. An engineering graduate with a master's in business and experience in banking, rahul ratnakar is the new-age entrepreneur of aatmanirbhar india. Proud of his heritage and astutely aware of the legacy, he welcomes guests into his home with warmth and humility. The homestay is part of a much larger structure entwining the old with the new. A must stay to experience the culture of the direct descendants of shri jagannath ratnakar, the last poet to write in the original vraj language

the stay at rayltnakar bhavan, varanasi for a period of 3days was really memorable and enjoyable, the hospitality of the owners as well as the support staffs were courteous and excellent. they are ready to serve every possible requirements and the owners, mainly rahul and his mummy are really very friendly. wishing them every success in their business life

Very close to shivalaya ghat. Approach to the property is bit narrow and dirty but it is only a few metres from main road. But inside is very clean. Good common area to sit and chat. Room was clean and bathrooms very neat. Very good house keeping. And host rahul and his mother are very warm. Unfortunately we could not have food at their place but we heard from fellow travellers that it was excellent. I highly recommend this place. Only drawback was there is no ventilation for the room but as it is air-conditioned it was not an issue.

It’s was an amazing feeling at ratnakar bhavan. A perfect heritage home with an awesome host in rahul ratnakar. Pretty much near to gang-es and the warmth in their hosting in unmatched.

Ratnakar bhawan has excellent location. It is is right at the shivala ghat which is mid-way between assi ghat and kashi vishwanath temple. The property is a heritage bungalow which is quite old. We get the feel of staying at real kashi. When in kashi always live near the ganga ghat otherwise no use. Hosts are amazing people. They are highly cultured people and treat you as their personal guest to help you out in all ways possible. Rohan's mom is the best. She gets amazing food that she personally serves. There are so many varieties in the breakfast and dinner. The ain thing is that the way she serves i even ate a few vegetables that otherwise i don't prefer eating haha. She is really sweet.

Good property at a walking distance from the shivala ghat. Our stay was amazing. Host mr rahul and his mother were the warmest hosts, treating us like family and serving with good home cooked food. The two helper boys rahul and vijay were at most help for us and the sweetest of all. Would definitely recommend for stay.
