The moment I walked into the room, there was this strange, musty smell that just wouldn’t go away. It wasn’t fresh or welcoming, and it set the tone for the entire stay. Even after keeping the windows open for a while, the odor lingered, making the room feel uncomfortable and not properly maintained.
The blankets were another major disappointment. They looked very old and worn out, with a rough texture that made them unpleasant to use. On top of that, they didn’t feel clean at all. It was clear they had been used for a long time without being replaced, and the lack of freshness raised concerns about hygiene. Having to sleep with bedding that felt dirty made it very difficult to relax or get a good night’s rest.
What’s frustrating is that these are really the basics of any stay—clean, fresh-smelling rooms and proper bedding should be the minimum standard. Everything else can be forgiven if these essentials are taken care of. Unfortunately, this property didn’t meet those basic expectations. With better cleaning, proper maintenance, and replacement of old items, the experience could improve significantly. Until then, I wouldn’t recommend this stay to anyone looking for comfort.
