Dear Sir, Thank you for your feedback. We’re glad to know you found the rooms clean. Regarding food pricing, hotels with in-house restaurants are now required to charge 18% GST as per government norms, which may make food feel expensive to some guests. We were surprised by your remark about rude staff, as our reception is usually praised for being courteous and prompt. On checking, we found you had requested a late checkout. Since Sunday is a busy day with back-to-back check-ins from 1 PM, we extended your checkout till 11:30 AM which you agreed to at the time. Had rooms been vacant, we would have gladly allowed a later checkout. We’re sorry if there was any miscommunication and appreciate your visit.
Breathtakingly beautiful
1. View - From the moment we arrived, the experience was seamless — valet service took care of the car, and we were welcomed with a refreshing drink. The resort is breathtakingly beautiful, nestled in nature’s lap with serene views all around. 2. Food - The food was amazing — every meal was flavorful and satisfying. They offered us buffet breakfast and dinner, which was freshly prepared and had good variety of vegetarian dishes. 3. There are plenty of ways to unwind too, with games like badminton, carrom, and more to keep both kids and adults engaged. A perfect blend of comfort, beauty, and hospitality. Highly recommended for a peaceful getaway!

An elegant large double beds for a family with a great view, what else does someone need for a happy vacation. The food was good and it served us a family treat. Room Service was excellent.

Relaxing and unwinding
We had a memorable stay at samskara lansdowne. 3 families booked 2 family rooms and 1 tent room. Family rooms are on 1st floor and are very spacious having 2 double beds each and well furnished. Also have a spacious verandah in front with sofas and a mesmerising view of the mountains. The tent is basic as you expect having a back balcony facing the forest. In the day you cam enjoy some lazy time in the sunshine in front of the tent having a huge lawn area. Evenings are best enjoyed outdoors with bonfire music food and drinks. Pols note they serve only in house liquor. Service a bit delayed but the food is exceptional for the location. Staff are mostly polite and accommodating. Special thanks to our server mr sajan rawat who always served us with a smile and took care of our food demands. Ms rachna on the front desk greeted us well and provided us the best available tent. We also enjoyed a short trek at the backside forest with our children which is scenic and worth the sweat. The location is i feel the best in lansdowne just 5 km short of the cantonment. Roads and mostly good but narrow and scenic with pine forests all around. One can easily miss the property entrance to as we did since it is at the corner of a turn and perched on top. They can add and improve their signages on the way for the benefit of tourists. Wifi was available in the resort but no or weak mobile signal for air-tel and voda. Only jio works here. They can improve upon their in house games and include tt foosball swings for kids etc. Since they have the space for all of it. Overall a satisfying and relaxing stay.

Currently, our property has more open areas and very limited closed spaces, which makes it challenging to accommodate such activities safely and effectively. However, we are actively exploring ways to create additional enclosed spaces. Once this is achieved, we’d be thrilled to implement these wonderful ideas. Worst experience
There was repair work going on at the resort which ruined the experience. There was no staff available during checkin. I had to go and book a room in another hotel for sometime since no one from the resort picked the call. The wifi is terrible. does not work at all.. It affected my office work. I regret booking this resort. The money spent is not worth.

it was a peaceful stay at the property… staff is pretty well behaved. our room was very cozy and had all the amenities available during our stay. property is well maintained. there was a barbecue and live singing arrangement as well which made our stay very memorable. will recommend to others who will want to enjoy the nature along with peace.

Average Stay
The location of the property is really good, and convenient. The hospitality is also amazing, the taste of food, amenities and service, are at its best. The only thing is that, the rooms are a bit expensive, for the experience provided.

Excellent Stay
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at samskara and samsara. The property is well-maintained, and the location is incredibly convenient. The food was amazing, with a wide range of options. But what truly stood out was the exceptional service from the staff - friendly, attentive, and always willing to help. Would definitely stay here again!

It’s in my view property like 5/4
In this price it’s should be 1 hair dryer in room 1 small oil bottle room balcony view good but balcony is very small garden area is very good for kids in the garden area some swings should be there then kids enjoying. Overall good experience food is too costly but food was good taste. Service is ok

groupGood location to start with and were taken excellent care by ms rachna and ms aisha and ramesh and jitendra in the restaurant. Need to rework and illuminate the stairs(only) which are uneven and can be missed sometimes with dark theme overall. Pet friendly.

Exceptional Stay at Samskara & Samsara Hotel
I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Samskara & Samsara Hotel, and I must say, the experience was exceptional. The location is ideal, just 5 km from the Lansdowne market, making it convenient for both relaxation and exploration. I stayed in the Lord Lansdowne Suite, which was equipped with all the amenities one could ask for. The suite was spacious, well-maintained, and offered a perfect blend of luxury and comfort. The food at the hotel was amazing, with a wide variety of delicious dishes that catered to different tastes. Each meal was a delightful experience, showcasing the culinary expertise of the hotel’s chefs. The staff at Samskara & Samsara were incredibly attentive and friendly, always ready to assist with a smile. Their excellent service truly enhanced the overall stay, making it a memorable one

The property is slightly off road unlike other hotels in the area which makes it slightly better to enjoy the view. However, we encountered frequent power cuts. They do have a back up but it's slow to take over. The bar is quaint and has basic drinks. We went on a weekday. Thus they didn't organize any bonfire or live music despite 7 to 8 families staying there. They were understaffed. We had to wait for our breakfast order for a while. The staff put on the toaster and forgot. It started smoking. A guest lady ran and unplugged it. This goes to show their priorities. The rooms and amenities are decent but not worth what the charge. It's peaceful but not value for money.

Regarding the power cuts, we apologize for any inconvenience you experienced. Due to the peak season in the mountains, all hotels in Lansdowne face similar challenges. However, we strive to restore electricity as quickly as possible with our backup system. We regret that you missed our live music. Please note that we only organize it on weekends when rates are higher. Additionally, due to forest fires around the time of your visit, there was a Forest Department circular restricting bonfire services, which we had to adhere to for safety reasons. Our breakfast buffet timing is from 8:30 to 10:30 AM, and with a staff of 22 for just 10 rooms, we maintain the highest room-to-staff ratio in the area. We are sorry for the delay you experienced and the toaster incident. We sincerely apologize for this oversight and assure you that we are taking steps to prevent such occurrences in the future. We regret that you did not find us to be value for money. We strive to provide exceptional service and will use your feedback to improve further. familyStay was pleasant enough but they have hidden charges everywhere. They don't mention what is chargeable at the time of enquiry or placing an order and later add it to the bill to surprise you.

Average Stay
We had taken a family room the room had four beds and was large. But the bathroom was pathetically small and was disappointing. The food was good but a bit pricey. They should mention that they charge for pets i had to cut short my trip by a day due to the farmers agitation but still was charged for my pet for two days which they shouldn’t have as we left around 12pm a day earlier

For the pet charges, we are extremely sorry that you missed this information online. We have mentioned everywhere that we are pet-friendly and pets, just like us, are charged extra for the number of days the booking is made.
