Review Of Serene Lake Resort

Lake view was nice.nice ambience at night..cool breeze at night was super.bt it was too hot inside room.overall good stay.missing that place.

The resort is located in an excellent location . The hospitality is excellent and there are 2 young men who manage the resort and are really helpful. I recommend it for families. The swimming pool is neat and clean. You can enjoy the evening and morning near the Lake, they have boating too.

Rooms were good, tv wasn't working in our room, when asked the caretaker, he did the needs. Swimming pool is spacious and calming. We were allowed to access it until 9. 30pm. At night, moths get attracted to light in swimming pool and get in the water, which was kinda disgusting, but can't be helped as these insects are present in all of varkala. There are only 6-7 rooms here and a lake is present, they don't seem to have license to access it now. Kappil beach is nearby<2km) and there is mangrove forest around 6-7km from here for water activities. Swimming pool is cleaned everyday. Also, people book this place for functions on the lawn next to the lake. It was a pleasant stay for us.

The resort was very neat and beautiful, staff were respectful, food was excellent. Hospitality is top notch. If we ever want to visit kerala again we are definitely be choosing this resort.

Pros : location is good. Access by road is easy. Parking, near to beach, lake front, good restaurant, tasty food. Cons: nobody answers to the contact number provided. Hot water facility was not in working condition overhead water tank was empty in the night and attempt to contact them failed. Stray dogs ruled the property at night. All these can be solved by the management and the property can be made to meet a three star level

Polite staffs. Helpful care takers. The overall stay at the hotel was a completely outstanding experience. Will recommend this property to all those who wish to stay in a place with a lake facing view. Simply superb.

I got to know about serene lake resort from my school junior who stayed here when he came to varkala for friends holiday trip. The staffs at serene are very friendly & are readily available to clarify our doubts & needs there's also a multi cuisine restaurant inside the resort which is worth for the price the main advantage of the resort is that, it located 7. 5kms away from varkala cliff beach. So the area wouldn't be that much crowded i suggest to have a stay at least for a day if you're at varkala

Resort location is very super. Pool located in the hotel is very nice. Food provided in the hotel also very good. The view point of back waters and kappil beach gives a pleasant experience.

Rooms were dirty and stinking, linen were not clean and torn, lunch ordered was not served even after 1 hr delay, no ceiling fan in the room, no preference for parking for hotel guests. Not recommended for anyone. Rooms not ventilated.

Awesome place to spend your time with your friends and family. Wonderful lake view property, and they do provide boat rides with some charges, very neat swimming pool, rooms were kept clean. We will visit again. Thankyou soo much for your service guys. C u soon.

Even though they gave a free upgrade of room due to many maintenance issues like tv, fan and lights being non operational, the bigger room also had issues. The linen weren’t fully dry during the rainy season and gave off bad smell. But i requested new sheets, but this they should have checked. Food arranged was below average. Staffs and owner are friendly and supportive, kayaking was awesome. Bikes rental comes with no raincoat so u couldn’t afford during the rains. Overall good, but hygiene can be improved.

Rooms were not clean and as soon as entered had dusty smell. Extra towels were not provide even drinking water was not provided. It’s not worth paying even the basic amenities were not provided that’:s listed in the respect hotel page. Didn’t have a serene stay at serene lake view stay. Our cottage door was knocked around 1 am in the morning and when noticed the staff had a poor response. Even safety is a concern.
