Our stay at Shiv Niwas Palace, Udaipur has been an absolute delight. The palace itself is stunning, but what truly made our experience special was the warmth and care of the staff. Every morning, Lalu Ram ji made sure we had a wonderful breakfast and looked after us with such kindness. The food throughout our stay was excellent — fresh, delicious, and beautifully served. Shivram ji kept our room spotless and welcoming, and coming back after sightseeing to little surprises of cookies and chocolates was such a thoughtful touch. A big thank you to Rahul, Pahumi, Abhimanyu and the concierge team for arranging everything so perfectly, and to the golf cart driver who was always there with a smile whenever we needed him. The hospitality here goes beyond service — it feels genuine, heartfelt, and personal. We leave with beautiful memories and so much gratitude to the entire team for making our stay so memorable.

No heritage left but sold as heritage hotel..nothing good about it except location...looks like out of the palace some left out area is allocated for this hotel..waste of money...

Rooms are very poor,u feel like u r staying in servent rooms.on MMT ,Property is showing like very big property but in actually 50% property is private ,Not accessible to us.only 1 Small restaurent is there ,very small pool.

Located within the City Palace complex, the property offers a serene and peaceful atmosphere—especially after 8:00–8:30 PM when the crowds thin out and the surroundings become beautifully quiet. From the balcony, you get a calming lake view that adds to the overall sense of tranquility. The in-room dining service is impressive—timely and delicious. Every dish we ordered was flavorful and well-prepared. Even the breakfast was a wonderful experience with a great spread and quality. The rooms, views, and location are all just perfect. Everything about this place exceeded expectations, and I honestly have no complaints. Would highly recommend it for a peaceful, royal Udaipur experience.

It was an extraordinary experience staying in palace and never felt such royalty in any 5* hotel so far. Recommended!

For the price they are charging, rooms and property are not worth it. Though food (we had breakfast) was amazing and staff was really friendly and helpful.

not up the mark according to 5 star property....lizard was there in our rooms....spider webs were there in our room...

I felt I overspent on the room, it was more like servant quarter with no view. Most of the property is private and reserves for his highness of Udaipur,Better to book other hotels near to pichola lake

Location of the hotel is excellent. Services and response of all employees are too good. The concerning part was only the size of bed and a. C. Ac was right upon our head and on 2nd day the cooling was not there. Food is too costly and against costing quantity is very little. Except this everything was beyond our expectations.

Shiv niwas palace is a magical place. Staff is excellent, very friendly and courteous. Property is very clean, well organized and the courtyard is an amazing place. Our royal suite was wonderful, very spacious, great lake views.

They are the worst hotel in udaipur. They misplaced the cab and delayed my travel to airport. Never believe these guys and leave things to them. They were supposed drop me at jodhpur instead of airport. There hotel rooms are very tiny and doesn’t fit the price what we pay. The food options are very basic and breakfast doesn’t have much of choice. Never choose this hotel
