I stayed at Silent Shores Resort & Spa recently, and unfortunately, the experience was far below expectations.
• Staff & Hospitality: The staff were not at all friendly or welcoming. At the front desk, especially the evening staff, there was no smile or courtesy. The tall gentleman at the reception made it seem like guests were an inconvenience. The spa reception staff also lacked basic warmth. The only person who genuinely greeted us was the buggy driver, Harish, who stood out for his politeness. To add to this, souvenirs were handed out selectively based on the receptionist’s mood and choice — not all guests received them, which felt unprofessional.
• Cleanliness & Maintenance: The suite room was not clean and certainly not up to the mark. Jacuzzi knobs looked dirty and unserviced, making it unappealing to use. Towels even had small stains, which was unacceptable for a resort of this standard.
• Resort Atmosphere: In the mornings, some male guests were openly sitting in balconies drinking, even though there were families with kids staying in nearby rooms. This was unpleasant and poorly monitored by the management.
• Food & Breakfast: The breakfast spread was disappointing and did not live up to the resort’s rating or pricing.
• Facilities: One positive was the swimming pool — it was clean and well maintained. This was probably the only highlight of the stay.
Overall, Silent Shores may look good from the outside, but the lack of basic hospitality, poor maintenance of rooms, selective treatment of guests, and an unprofessional environment made the stay unenjoyable. I don’t think I would choose to visit this property again. My third visit here and every time felt the quality coming down.
