The hotel is located near the city centre but not in that crowded place, tourist spots are nearby only, mysore palace is hardly 10 minutes drive from the hotel. They have two restaurants, i tried both, awesome south indian thali served on banana leaf. Verities of options on buffet menus for breakfast and lunch/dinner. I like behaviour of restaurants staff and front desk executives.

Very centrally located, very efficient staff, the gm mr tuteja is a wonderful host. The breakfast spread is quite good.

Very good service provided by the staff. All house keeping staff are. Providing services instantly. One thing i like about this hotel is all staff having smiling face and very helpful. Breakfast is superb. Room and toilet well maintained. Hotel ambiance is excellent. Excellent for stay. Tourist destination is near by from the hotel.

The property is huge and very nicely maintained! ample amount of space in the property with variety of food options from their restaurants! really enjoyed the greenary and serenity of the property! the breakfast was great and staffs were kind! our stay was very pleasant and would always choose southern star for the service and quality! the rooms were specious and very well maintained.

Good stay with few points to note

Room & restaurant with hospitality had been very good. But 3 things i want to suggest; 1. Dust bins in rooms should have plastic bags. 2. Wash basin table is close to toilet commode which is congested, 3. Guy sitting in reception says he “doesn’t know kannada & asks guests to speak in english or hindi. Hotel management should take serious note and actions against such things. Mysore is a place where kannadigas heartland is, here we feel bad when someone in hospitality industry answers rudely that he doesn’t speak kannada.

This is one of the best hotel in mysore. Really love the stay. Luxury feelings. Co operative staff. Polite. Room is very nice. Very nice ambiance. Good parking space for car. Stay at southern star was beautiful, restful. Breakfast and dinner spreads are amazing. Service is good. All the tourist attractions of mysore are within 10 minutes distance from the hotel. Overall a good experience.
