Unfortunately, the property did not meet our needs or the expectations set when making the booking. We booked for 4 days, but decided to cut short our trip after staying the first night and headed back home. Specifically: 1. The house is too small to comfortably accommodate a family of five along with our pets. 2. The geyser was not functioning properly and in the cold rainy weather of Wayanad it meant living without taking shower for 4 days. Some of the power outlets gave in while using them, that meant some lights and TV bluetooth speakers won’t work during the entire stay. 3. The absence of a kitchen was also difficult for us and the food ordered from local shops was not what we planned for. 4. The property is without a proper fence and this was not safe for our pets. Our pets were running towards the rice fields just beside the villa, which were waterlogged and filled with snakes. Cockroaches were seen in our bedroom room while we slept. Only thing we enjoyed was our car journey with our dogs.

It was a very bad experience. We expected a premium villa looking the pictures but when we reach there it was very disappointing about the location and the spot. It was not at all worth the price. But the rooms and bathrooms were kept clean and the caretaker melbin took care of us well. Dining area was the worst part. Rats were crawling on the roof. We get lots of private villas at a low cost better than this. Sorry to say.

Palm Tree Homes is a lovely spot for couples or a small group looking to relax in nature. The villa is surrounded by beautiful scenery, and the host was so friendly and welcoming. We enjoyed the quiet pond and loved taking a dip in the refreshing plunge pool. The lawn is great for picnics, and the big windows bring the amazing views right into the room. This is a peaceful and comfortable escape that we’d highly recommend!
