The location is bit far from the city. The service viz room & restaurant is perfect. however the rooms are not upto the 5 star mark. The kids game room has less options.

The lobby and the pool were beautiful. The rooms were so small. The roof almost felt like it was caving in. The windows did not open and there was no fan in the room, so you had no option but to use the AC. Some lights in the room didn’t work so you had to use the master switch to turn everything off. There was no floor light and no way to just keep one light on so you could see at night. Even though the room was not marked for housekeeping, the staff entered the room in our absence while our personal belongings were on the bed. Fortunately did not lose anything. The food was below average to say the least. We paid 2500 for four sandwiches. We had requested twin beds at the time of booking. Only one of our rooms was a twin bed and we got the keys to it at 6PM when we arrived at the property at 12PM. Would never recommend this property to anyone. I don’t know how it’s four stars. If you’re in Puri just stay at the Taj.

Worst room with good sercice

I have no complaints on staff. They are very nice. I booked a sea view room. I stayed two days. I didn't get a sea view room. when I asked they told me to stand on the balcony in the corner to see the sea. I felt like I was trespassing to the next door room. I found a bedbug. One night we had heavy rain and in the morning I saw a lot of water. when I complained without hearing or looking where there water was coming they came to the conclusion that we opened the balcony door or dropped the water bottle. Someone suggested this hotel and I booked. Other than these issues, everything was good. I would rate zero for the room and service was excellent.

The resort’s beach(public beach) is dirty and there is no proper beach access service can be improved and rooms can be of better quality. However the pool and game room was well maintained and a variety of vegetarian food options were avail for the buffets

Overall experience was ok. Rooms and breakfast was good. However there are few issues, approach road to Sterling Puri is horrible due to ongoing road work. Also there was disturbance in the room due to repairs in the above floor during day and worst part is the noise during midnight as well which was very annoying . They should have taken care of it while providing rooms which they didn’t. I expected comfortable stay when I booked this expensive hotel but was bit disappointing.

Had a stay with family for 3nights. Will list down the pros and cons Pros 1. The resort is well maintained and rooms are decent size. 2. The staff is extremely polite and takes good care. especially the dining staff they really take good care. They provided complimentary icecreams and few other dishes as well. Also they took care of fasting and provided us the requested items. Especial mention for miss Sujata and other staff who took good care in the dining area. 3. The view from resort is very good and it has games room 4. The resort conducts evening programm and we enjoyed the dance show and the dandiya night they conducted during our stay. There were few more activities but we missed it. 5. Food is really good and they have a lot of variety in their buffet Cons 1. Even though the resort is 5-7kms away from jagannth puri but being located bit outside and due to poor road condition near resort + autos near the resort have their own union. So autos won't let uber come easily and then they will charge huge prices 400rs for 7kms ride 2. Even though beach is nearby it was not accessible due to river going between resort and sea 3. Not all the games in the game rooms are free, need to be careful. I didn't realize and ended up paying for that.

as per hotwl pricing the location was not that great.buffet menu had no spread close to a 3 star hotel.nonveg options almost nill when ur payinv 1400 for buffet.they refilled the buffet very slowly so ur actually waiting 10-15mins for items are over from buffet.room was average had no view like shown in images. no direct access to beach.u have to travel by auto or other transportation mode to access beach.overall over priced place.not worth paying for this hotel.not recommended

Fabulous Stay

We had a fabulous stay at the Sterling. The property is very well maintained with quick and efficient room service. The swimming pool is the main attraction and the sea view from the pool deck is excellent. They also had a complimentary hi tea which was an added bonus. Food can be a little better compared to the prices that are charged for it.

I recently stayed at Sterling Resorts, Puri, and overall, it was a very pleasant experience. The property itself is beautiful and well-maintained, with a nice layout and facilities that make it a comfortable place to relax. One of the biggest advantages is its location—it is situated right next to the sea, which makes for a refreshing environment and easy access to the beach. The staff at the resort deserve a special mention. They are polite, attentive, and always ready to help with a smile. From check-in to check-out, everything was handled smoothly, and they made sure guests felt welcome and well taken care of. The food served at the resort was also very good, with a variety of options to choose from. It was fresh, tasty, and catered well to different preferences. However, the only drawback I noticed during my stay was the condition of the approach road. Due to the ongoing flyover construction, getting to the property can be a little inconvenient, especially for first-time visitors. This is, of course, a temporary issue and not a reflection on the resort itself. Overall, I would definitely recommend Sterling Resorts, Puri, for a relaxing and enjoyable seaside getaway.

It took 20-25 minutes for them to check me in and also I got delayed during checkout as their paperwork wasn’t ready. Access to the hotel is terrible due to an ongoing bridge construction but they should have an alternative plan by working with the local civic authorities. For the amount they are charging they don’t have proper access to the beach, the temporary makeshift bridge that connects to the beach is in shambles. The pricing in the menu for any single ala carte item is too high forcing to choose buffet over ala carte. Rooms are very clean and well maintained
