Sukoon Houseboat

Sukoon boathouse is located opp to ghat 19 on dal lake. it is a quite side of dal lake and has a beautiful deck. it is a beautiful boat house. They need to do some up keep like toilets need exhaust, hot water comes after 15 mins of water being wasted to get lake warm water 5 mins after that to get hot water. the bathroom fixtures need changes, toiletries need to be provided as per occupancy, doors are a bit jammed and so are locks. food is good but service is a but lost and slow. the music performance of Santoor performer was the highlight of the stay. Behavior of the owner on the last hour of my stay was the lowest point. The owner was questioning my booking at the end of our stay. I had booked a one night stay for 3 members with breakfast and lunch or dinner option for. I booked one hour prior to our arrival to the property at 4ish pm. The owner or whoever was sitting at the boathouse reception was rude and was telling me that its not possible to get the deal at this cost. This was a rude behavior, Firstly he had no decency to first ask how was our stay at the property and second he was questioning my voucher of booking as if I got a free stay at his privileged property. I find this kind of entitled behavior very rude. It spoils the mood. The staff is far better behaved. Overall a good property and good food, good staff, avoid talking to the owner or who ever is managing the books. Keep your booking voucher handy, he has a tendency to be rude. The place has good view. Be ready to experience complete quite and peace. I would request the property to make the stay more welcoming as the cost is not low so hospitality needs to be the prime focus.

We booked this Sukoon Houseboat for 5 nights. This was our first trip of kashmir and we were not very sure about the experience we were going to have. But as soon as we stepped into the Sukoon Houseboat, we were greeted with excellent hospitality. Everything including room comfort, staff service and support, planning local and outside trips, providing personalised car for for six days (even beyond the stay in the Sukoon Houseboat, at a very reasonable rate) was organised by the Sukoon Houseboat with great efficiency. For all this we would like to give special credit to mr. Aijaz of the Sukoon Houseboat specifically whose personal care and service won our hearts. He was simply fantastic. In short, i and my wife would recommend Sukoon Houseboat meerz to all the visiting tourists for a great experience in srinagar.

On a 5 day trip to kashmir, we stayed here for an night on the last day. With a top notch hospitality, luxury rooms, stunning views from the room and delicious food, this boat is the best stay we had booked. To top it off, the boat ride till this house boat and live music add a different level of rejuvenation experience. The washrooms were clean and they maintain proper hygiene across the boat without compromise. They have a polite staff which did not run away on making small requests. This boat is safe and is recommended for family stay with elders. You can wake up to stunning views from the balcony enjoying the sunrise and sunsets while sipping tea. It’s a complete relaxation package. Spending money for this experience it totally worth it.

It's expensive no doubt and i paid 19k for 1 night. For their suite room. At first i was little sad as my first reaction was it's not worth it. But the staff oh my god they're so so good at their job, they make you feel special and treat really well. Food was good, they arranged snacks and blanket for shikara ride. Food presentation was top notch and just for the hospitality i want to give full 10.

It’s the best houseboat in dal lake. The rooms are beautiful and very tidy. The staff is courteous and the food served was good. But the best part i liked about sukoon is their policy of responsible tourism. They don’t use plastic bottles/ toiletries etc. Do overall we had a wonderful stay at sukoon and would definitely love to come back to this Sukoon Houseboat on our next trip.

The perfect houseboat experience for staying on dal lake, the upper deck has the best views of the entire breathtaking vista and watching the sun set is a trans-figurative and sublime experience. The rooms are incredible and the complementary snacks and beverages, especially the kahwa is on point.

A splendid houseboat, well decorated, in a quiet part of dal lake, with a beautiful view. The staff and food was more than a 5 star luxury experience. Never expected such level of attention in a houseboat. Would certainly recommend book the suite at the rear end of the boat if available.

the stay st sukoon house boat was comfortable. the staff was good snd well mannered. food was also good . above all the food is prepared as per your choice from the menu and food is prepared fresh . the boat was clean and with good vibes

Pleasant stay and good food. Good view of dal lake. However, there was small renovation work going on when we reached there.

Nice experience. The only thing they didnt do is that we have asked them to decorate thr room for us but they didnt do that. Also the price is little high. Rest overall was good one.

Everything about this place is excellent. Very well managed and the view from the upper deck is amazing! the food is great and you also have a live kashmiri music show in the evening that you shouldn't miss.

Mr bashir was extremely helpful during our entire stay. Very happy we made the choice to celebrate our birthday. The sufi singing in the evening was the cherry on the cake.

Excellent hospitality. Food was also very delicious. My son loved the way they welcomed us. They took very good care of us and especially my son. Thank you.
