Great location, beautiful surrounding atmosphere, great staff. Most friendly and helpful receptionist and staff ever, lovely and great first impression of hotel. Everything about the hotel was exceptional. It was clean, stylish, roomy with excellent service in where we had dinner. Food was good and great value for money and service was attentive and efficient. Room itself was well equipped and comfortable. I was very pleased with my stay. I hope to be back for a longer visit in the future.

"booking was easy, and this was my third time staying at the hotel. The hospitality was excellent, and i loved the lighting in the room. We did have a small issue figuring out how to use the tv, but otherwise, the stay was wonderful. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others"

Rooms are comfortable but would be better if adults ( above 60)are provided at least 2nd floor in case of pure booking.

Location is the main usp of this hotel right at mg marg. However you want 24 hours hot water there is not dedicated geyser. Room is cozy and clean. In room dining not available. The restaurant has one restaurant but it's korean cuisine. Staffs are polite and nice

Sumitel oriental pros : the property is located in the prime position of mg marg market. All the facilities are available nearby. The stuffs of the hotel are well behaved & helpful. The manager navin ji specially is very helpful & every-time he attended the phone promptly. The hotel rooms are very beautifully decorated, neat & clean, all the basic facilities are available in the room. Hot water is available throughout the day in the washroom. All the rooms are mg marg facing rooms. Cons the food in the korean restaurant of the hotel is just ok. The hotel could have provided a common space at the top floor to get a view of kanchenjunga mountain. Overall if u are planning to visit gangtok u should definitely stay in hotel sumitel oriental.

Room was nice, but tv was not working, also there was no moisturizer available in the room. They did not provide cutlery as the restaurant is not of the hotel.

The hotel’s location is good, staff are great. Overall experience seems ok. But they don’t have any provision of room service like tea or coffee. Besides the hot water timings are 6am to 12 pm and 6pm to 12 am. So if travellers reach there in between, they don’t have provision of bathing or shower due to lack of hot water.

There was no electricity in the hotel. For one whole day we were left with no power. No fan and no wifi.

Location is good but service is bad. Lot of noise disturbing all the night. Toilet is very small. But for this price, i think it’s worth

Hotel did not provide any room service. Suit rooms are in 7th floor without any room services. Guest can’t stay more than half an hour. No food is available in the hotel. Rooms are very small. Other than location advantage it’s was terrible.

Alert ! they don't have elevators [lift. No restaurant no room service. We choose the suit room best room of property it was on 6th floor too hard to go to room. No ac in room. But the best thing was it close to mg marg. Over all disappointed.
