We recently stayed at Summit Sherpa and we have a mixed reaction to this property.
To address the good things first-
1. The view from the room was amazing.
2. The rooftop restaurant also had a very nice view.
3. The staff was friendly.
4. The food from the restaurant were also quite tasty.
However, there are some serious drawbacks of this place as well-
1. The hotel is very much short staffed. As a result there is hardly any person to help with the luggage and considering the fact that the hotel does not have the facility of an elevator, it can be quite difficult for any elderly boarders.
2. The price that they are charging for each room cannot be justified, given the fact that there is no wardrobe in the room, the telephones in the rooms do not work, regular housekeeping is not done and they have plenty of power cuts .
3. Though the food quality is quite good, the price of the food items are exorbitant. It could have been acceptable if we kept in mind that food price in the mountains are usually high, but we noticed that the other 3 restaurants that are in the same area are charging atleast 50% less.
Overall, we can say that the place can be visited only for the view it offers.
