Review Of Summit Sherpa Mountain Hotel & Spa

Location of the hotel but far from Kalimpong town .No proper grocery or medicine shop nearby.View from the hotel is very good.But cost of the food is very high.Overall experience good.

hotel staff and stay was excellent very polite people the only thing I didn't like that is food taste and quality The location of this hotel was excellent, view from balcony was like waoooo and the most important thing staff of this hotel was so polite i love it.

It has been a excellent experience staying at Summit Sherpa Mountain Hotel at Delo Kalimpong. Rooms were mind blowing. Excellent view of Kanchenjunga from the balcony. Foods were very tasty. Staff were very cooperative. Overall I will give 5 out 5 rating and recommend all to stay here.

1. Location is far from the market and centre but at walking distance from Deolo park which is the main attraction of Kalimpong. 2. The view from the balcony is fantastic and Mt Kanchanjunga can be seen in the morning. The sunrise view is terrific. 3. The food is very good and serves good quantity but price is exorbitant. 4. The rooms don't have any fan or AC and in the month of September sometimes fan is required. On request they provided us with a stand fan. 5. The TV do not works and no cupboard are provided. So clothes are to be kept on the balcony chairs. 6. The service is prompt and the manager and staff are very responding. Special thanks to Shubham for his service. 7. A small table and two chairs inside the room was required so as to have food inside the room at night. An intercom could have been more useful than calling for service and food by mobile phone.

Wonderful view from the balcony. Food was delicious . Their Biriyani also tastes amazing , polite stuff, daily house cleaning! Would definitely visit again !

The location of the hotel is the greatest advantage. If you are lucky, you get to see the beautiful Kanchenjunga. All the staff were very good. The hotel infrastructure is not good at all. the bed linen and towels were not clean. The bathroom door handle is broken, and could have been maintained better.

I really love it , specifically the balcony view .The staff are really kind and helpful and also foods are testy.

This quaint building set atop the mighty Deolo is purely reflective of the people that reside in it. It was a wonderful experience watching the clouds travel through you. Clean rooms, beautiful view of the mountains, the Teesta river and the lake from the private balcony and excellent food from the Veranda Restaurant and the shy friendliness to bring everything together in harmony. Special mention to Subham at the Front Desk and Manasvi, the F&B Host.

Excellent hospitality provided by Subham feit good excellent staff and one of the best place to stay in Kalimpong .Friendly, accommodating staff, willing to help with a smile. Facilities.

Location of the property is good . But the food is very expensive and it can be moderate to attract more tourist.

The hotel room is clean and the washroom is small but clean.Food quality is excellent but food price is so very high,room service is good .

Summit Sherpa stands out as one of the best hotels in its class. From the moment we checked in until our departure, our experience was nothing short of amazing. The rooms are thoughtfully equipped with every facility you could need, including balcony with a breathtaking view Coupled with an excellent breakfast, our overall stay was simply fantastic.

We recently stayed at Summit Sherpa and we have a mixed reaction to this property. To address the good things first- 1. The view from the room was amazing. 2. The rooftop restaurant also had a very nice view. 3. The staff was friendly. 4. The food from the restaurant were also quite tasty. However, there are some serious drawbacks of this place as well- 1. The hotel is very much short staffed. As a result there is hardly any person to help with the luggage and considering the fact that the hotel does not have the facility of an elevator, it can be quite difficult for any elderly boarders. 2. The price that they are charging for each room cannot be justified, given the fact that there is no wardrobe in the room, the telephones in the rooms do not work, regular housekeeping is not done and they have plenty of power cuts . 3. Though the food quality is quite good, the price of the food items are exorbitant. It could have been acceptable if we kept in mind that food price in the mountains are usually high, but we noticed that the other 3 restaurants that are in the same area are charging atleast 50% less. Overall, we can say that the place can be visited only for the view it offers.

Good stay, good property, helpful staff. We all enjoyed our stay and the view from the hotel is beautiful.

Room and balcony was too small.. zero service... i have to carry empty bottles to restaurant to get water... no one in reception... intercom, tv and wifi doesn't work.... and washroom is pathetic

We checked in late.Hotel staff were present at 11 pm.But as soon as we checked in to our room,power cuts were happening every 5 mins.When we went to the reception to ask about inverter service,to our amazement there was nobody in the reception,nobody in the gate,no security guard,no single staff in any floors of the hotel. We did early checkout at around 6:30 am. Once again no one was available in the whole building. By the time our car was ready to leave,the manager did appear from somewhere and when asked she said that timing of staff is from 7 am to 11 pm. So yes if you are travelling here ensure that you are capable enough to lift your own luggage,start the inverter infact run the hotel in absence of the actual staff.
