My family and i recently had the pleasure of staying at talayar valley bungalow near munnar. The place offers a peaceful and exclusive stay, with only a select handful of rooms available for guests, making us feel special and privileged from the moment we arrived. The location is nothing short of stunning, with the scenic beauty of the tea plantations and weather that’s beyond words. The bungalow itself is steeped in rich heritage, making us feel as though we had stepped back into a time of royal charm and elegance. The hospitality we received was exceptional. Mr. John was always there when we needed help, guiding us with warmth and care. The highlight of our stay was definitely the chef, who prepared delicious meals exclusively for the three of us, taking the time to understand our tastes and preferences. The mix of hospitality with a touch of royalty made the experience unforgettable. The private trek was enjoyable, and the private waterfall within the property added to the sense of privilege and wonder. Overall, the blend of nature, heritage, and personalized care is something we’re taking back home with us, and it’s an experience we’ll always remember.

Pros: colonial style bungalow build on 1930’s. Suite rooms are big, blue jay has valley view. Food was scrumptious and wide spread of food items. Cons: nothing much

I am telling you simply don’t overthink if you want a very quite, calm,place with royal bungalow feel just book this place . It has wonderful view , cold weather and they all provide best service ever.

Excellent location. Great property and wonderful staff, made it a great holiday to relax, rejuvenate. I will always remember the manager Ramesh, the chef Rajesh, Ganesh and other people I met at Talayar with fondness. Will come again.

A place you wouldn’t want to leave

The bungalow is surrounded by tea bushes and lush green gardens and the view is breathtaking. There are no hotels this side of Munnar so the view is of hills and valleys away from all the noise pollution of all the tourists. The rooms are so pretty. Five star for the chef. The food was mind blowing especially roast chicken and baked dishes.
The room is so beautiful with excellent light and view of the lush garden.

Enjoyed my stay at Talayar Valley Bungalow. Amazing location in the midst of Talayar tea estate, friendly staff, clean place. The food prepared by Chef was amazing. However, the promised tea factory visit was not done. The caretaker was found a bit lazy since we were the only guest that day and other 3 rooms were unoccupied.

I loved the quiet and serenity provided by the Bungalow located in the midst of tea plantation. The staff was supremely cordial and helpful. The best scenic view was the private waterfall within the plantation. The small size with around 4 bedrooms also allowed me to effectively interact with my fellow housemates and bond with them. Loved every bit of my stay there. Highly recommend this place to all travellers visiting Munnar and wanting to stay away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

If you're travelling to Munnar, you must stay at Talayar Valley Bungalows. Nestled in a quiet valley about 20 kms from Munnar town, this place is a small paradise in itself. Surrounded by the Talayar Tea Estates and misty mountains every direction you look, its the perfect getaway for 2 or 3 days. There have 4 suites, of which we had the Blue Jay. It's the smallest but has the best views. The service is nothing short of outstanding. Fortunately, there was no one else when we visited so it felt like we had our own private household staff for 2 days. There is no restaurant but they cook up the most mouthwatering delicacies if you ask them, at very reasonable prices. It's a little far from the popular tourist spots, however they more than make up for it by organizing complimentary walks in their tea -estates and a visit to their tea factory. En route is a small but beautiful waterfall and stunning panoramic views of the hills and tea-gardens. Special Thanks to the manager Nikhil for making our stay so special.

Hospitality par excellence and location just unbelievable. The staff will walk extra mile to make you feel very Royal. If in Munnar, definite a property to go and relax unless you like crowded places. It is around 12 km after Munnar, but worth the pain to drive to this location. 4 majestic rooms and a couple of relaxing rooms. English era bungalow with the feel of the bygone era still fresh on the air. Food is as fresh as home made and to your taste and choice, whatever you order is prepared only after they are purchased. Caramel Custard is to just die for, Sreedhar is just no cook, he is like a personal bawarchi, my salutations to him. Want to feel pampered and royal. Make this pit your next stop.

Fantastic property in the middle of talayar tea estate area .. Well maintained garden and building .. The service is also of top quality .. We stayed in blue jay room and Magnolia suite .. Found the blue jay to be more cozy and more of our taste .. Magnolia is bigger and bathrooms are huge with chandliers even inside the washroom ;). Food is great and served with a pleasant face .. Thumbs up for this property ..

Had the most amazing stay here. The bungalow is located in an amazing spot near the waterfall. The insides look awesome! The staff made the stay even more beautiful by all the good food and the flavorsome tea! Would love to go back again and be at peace!

If you want to experience the true feeling of Munnar, then TALAYAR BUNGALOW is the right place. The Blu Ray Suite has its own private verandah with the view of the vast tea valley view. Food was great. Manager arranged a special barbecue near private fountain of the property.

We stayed in Talayar Bungalow which is 20 km from Munnar, this is the most amazing place to stay The place is like heaven, on top of a hill and overlooks the anamudi peak and on the other side you have beautiful green tea plantations The place has been made with utmost care and concern, four rooms with each different concept and of course charges are different too They have a dining room, a morning room ( the only place in the bungalow where you have Wi-Fi) a cigar room - TV, they have an LP also. Nice room to read books and a beautiful garden We stayed in the blue jay suite which has the best view - the hills and the greenery both. The staff is really very helpful and hospitable. They will plan your day trip to the tea estate and once to the waterfall which is within the estate. They will also help you for short trips to Munnar and the national park. The meals are yum - very simple food but tasty and made with efforts. The food is served on time and the staff - jonas, Nikhil and team have done a great job in pleasing the guests The gardeners too have made the place pretty. You should visit this place and stay for three to four days and just simply relax because this place is meant for it only.

Well maintained property with beautiful scenery and excellent service ... Really had a very good and memorable experience at talayar .. I would really loved to visit again and planning for 3 night stay during December .. It's a best place to enjoy. We had a gone for trekking in the morning it was really awesome .. Food was so homely and we really enjoyed it. They had a beautiful garden.
