Average feeling, when i stay at this place.
Rooms are small. But location wise, this place is good. Vishwanath mandir is very close to this home stay.

It was a nice experience with Thakur Homestay... will recommend to stay once because it is few meters from Vishwanath ji Temple... Rooms was properly clean as well as service was pretty good...

Terrible Stay
very pathetic experience. room located at 3rd floor. as we were senior citizens, I ask to allot lower floor room. there was no lift. owner ask more money for lower floor room. it's completely exploitation.

As clearly mentioned in our listing, due to the structural limitations of this historic building, installing an elevator is not feasible without compromising its integrity. Regarding the alternative room allocation, I personally spoke with you and offered a shift from your current double bedroom to a more spacious family room on the first floor at a nominal additional cost of ₹500 — a gesture we believed to be fair and considerate. As a small, independent business, we are committed to offering the best value for money to all our guests and continuously strive to improve based on genuine feedback. We sincerely hope you can understand our constraints and intentions.
Poor stay experience
Poor experience, Room was allotted at 3rd floor and property does not had lift , no packaged water, no power backup, cabs are not allowed to property location.

As mentioned in our listing, Thakur Homestay is a heritage property located in the old city area of Varanasi. Due to its structural limitations, installing an elevator is not feasible without compromising the building’s integrity. Regarding water, we offer both unlimited filtered drinking water on request as well as 2-litre packaged bottles — guests may choose either option during their stay. As for power backup, each room is equipped with an inverter, as clearly stated in the listing. However, during your stay, there was an unusually long and city-wide power outage, which exceeded what the inverters are designed to handle — a rare but unfortunate situation that was beyond our control. Finally, the restriction on cabs reaching the property is due to the security protocols around the Kashi Vishwanath Temple area, even then cab stop just 50 meters away from the property.We always suggest booking local e-rickshaws or walking the short distance, and our team is always ready to assist.

At the time of your arrival, our caretaker personally came to receive you and assisted with your luggage up to your room on the third floor. We always try to support our guests to the best of our ability, and it’s disheartening to see that this effort was overlooked. Regarding your early morning checkout at 5 AM, we sincerely apologize if our staff was not available at that hour. Please note that we encourage guests to inform us in advance for early checkouts so we can ensure someone is available to assist. On the matter of food, we had informed you in advance that idli was not available in our kitchen. Despite that, you requested us to arrange it from outside, which was beyond our control in terms of quality. We appreciate your feedback and will certainly work on areas where we can improve. Our goal is always to provide a comfortable and pleasant stay for all our guests.

I found this property through MMT, and it was good and nice, well behaved staff, with basic amenities, but there was no food, you had to walk for food even also for water

Excellent Stay
This property location is close to temple and the shopping area. The facility is neat and well maintained. The staff(Mukesh) is very courteous and was respond Inga positively. The only drawback is we need to climb steps to 3rd floor 😒

Excellent experience at Thakur shrijee home stay
If you prefer for homestay go for thakur home stay. I personally recommend. Very affordable and walking distance from ghats and kashi temple. Care taker mukesh was very humble and nice person.

Good Stay
I mean the stay was decent but not value for money. The TV could have been much bigger in size also there were no soaps which they should provide and also the matress was very hard, it should be such that one feels comfortable while sleeping.

care taker Sri Mukesh was excellent.executive and super deluxe rooms are in 3rd floor which is difficult to commute for old aged persons..All other amenities are fine except slow water flow in executive bathroom..

We would like to clarify that Thakur Homestay is located just 500 meters from the Kashi Vishwanath Temple, due to which police restrictions sometimes prevent commercial vehicles like Ola/Uber from reaching the property gate. This is why we always recommend booking cabs directly through us for smooth access. Additionally, a paid parking facility is available just beside the property for guests traveling by personal vehicles. We sincerely regret the inconvenience caused by the absence of an elevator; however, due to the heritage structure of our building, we are unable to make such structural changes.
