    I booked a premium room at The Fern in Morbi since I was traveling with my parents and wanted my mother, who has asthma, to be comfortable. I chose this hotel because it carries a fairly good name in the industry. What we got was the exact opposite of what we expected. We reached late at night on the day of check-in and were given a smoking room. The entire place smelled of cigarettes. This was not just unpleasant but dangerous for my mother’s health. They claimed it was clearly written in the booking details that this was a smoking room. That is a complete lie. I checked again myself. Nowhere was it mentioned. The hotel staff did not help either. They refused to change the room and instead offered us a smaller room which was not even an option since we were three people. So we were stuck. Imagine paying for a premium room and being treated like this. We had to borrow a table fan from the hotel and keep the windows open just so my mother could breathe and get some sleep. This is what it came down to at a so-called reputed hotel. The staff were unprofessional and made no effort to fix the situation. This was a ridiculous experience from start to finish. If you value honesty, health, or even the bare minimum of comfort, do not stay here.

    Fern should train their staff . When we reached after 1 hour of checking time room was not ready . When we order something to eat the person who takes order doesn’t pay attention so they make mistake. They did mistake three times in 4 orders every time some one will come an say sorry. Food was delicious and we enjoyed but service is poor. I don’t recommend until they train their staff properly

    An experience worth forgett

    Experience with front desk executives is horrible. Each one has a different version providing for late check out though as platinum customer i was eligible for 2 hours of guaranteed late out. One person says it is chargeable and other says it is subject to availability ( that was for 3 hours as per booking. They neither read the booking not listen to you. Floor tiles are broken and every time you step on that there is a loud noise and risk of cutting your fingers. This in a town which produces 90% of the country's tiles. There is a wall crack from roof to floor and is chirping. Food is good, both in veg restaurant and non veg restaurant and service is also good.

    Good hotel, some improvement needed

    We booked two rooms for four adults. Hotel rooms are nice from inside and clean. Hotel is located just on the highway and that was why we booked this hotel in the first place. Complementary breakfast was good. However, double bed in one of the rooms seemed small in width while sleeping with children. I was told that it is king size but the width seemed smaller than 78. Food / beverages are very expensive, even more so when you consider that the hotel is located in a non metro city. Also they have a wierd custom of inspecting the rooms when checking out, while the guest waits for a green signal from their staff. That somewhat felt insulting. Further no complementary fruit basket was provided as mentioned in the document. When asked, i was told that they don't provide it at any of their locations.
