We recently stayed at The Tulips Villa from 25th to 27th September 2024, as a group of 12, which included children aged 3 and 10. The location was absolutely fantastic, offering stunning scenic views of the valley from the villa. We booked the entire villa, which consisted of four attached bedrooms and a dining area, spread across two levels.
The hospitality was exceptional. The caretaker, Anand, was very friendly and helpful, as was his wife, who cooked delicious meals for our family. Their assistance ensured that we were tension-free regarding food-related concerns, which can sometimes arise when eating out during trips, especially in places like Kodaikanal. It can be difficult to find healthy meals in a timely manner when traveling with kids and elderly people, so having home-cooked meals available made a huge difference. Special thanks to Mr. Karthik, who was also very helpful during our stay.
That said, I do have a couple of small suggestions for improvement. The villa could benefit from some maintenance, like repainting and replacing some chipped and faded tiles. This would enhance the beauty of the space even further. Additionally, it would be nice if they could provide tea and coffee amenities in the house, as many families, like ours, enjoy a warm beverage while relaxing in the lovely weather and beautiful courtyard of Kodaikanal.
Lastly, a heads-up for those traveling in larger vehicles—only cars can be parked directly in front of the house. We had a traveler van, which couldn't enter near the house, so we had to carry our luggage to the villa. This was a bit inconvenient but manageable.
Overall, we had a memorable stay, and the hospitality and views made it a great experience. We would love to return!
