I booked a Standard AC room at TRB Residency in Kanyakumari, expecting a comfortable stay given the amenities listed. The profile showcased an impressive list of facilities including Shaving Mirror, Toiletries, Mineral Water, TV, Bathroom, Free Wi-Fi, Chair, Closet, Geyser/Water Heater, 24-hour Housekeeping, Hot & Cold Water, Blackout Curtains, Blanket, Ceiling Fan, Air Conditioning, 24-hour Room Service, Charging Points, Laundry Service, Towels, and Western Toilet Seat.
Regrettably, my experience starkly contrasted with these promises. Crucial items like *Toiletries* and *Mineral Water*, explicitly listed as provided, were conspicuously absent. Worse still, many of the facilities that were present were in an appalling state – far removed from what one would expect for the price paid.
The *blanket* was dirty and untidy, the *bedsheet* was unkempt and stained, and even the *pillow covers* appeared grubby. The *towels* supplied for bathing were in a deplorable condition, rendering them unusable. It felt like the hotel merely listed amenities for show, with no genuine intent to ensure guests could actually utilize them in a hygienic and comfortable manner.
The *bathroom*, considering the amount paid, was subpar – falling woefully short of expectations. Overall, the products and facilities provided seemed messy and dirty, reflecting poorly on TRB Residency's standards. 24-hour housekeeping, supposedly a feature, evidently didn't translate into cleanliness.
Frankly, booking this place turned out to be a big mistake. The disconnect between marketed amenities and delivered experience was stark.
