Rooms - there were 3 types of rooms. I did kevad option but they upgraded my room to gokha room on arrival at the hotel. The room was well enough for a couple to stay and all the basic amenities. Food - this premises is a pure vegetarian hotel. The food was very good in taste. Services - the service was very good. They used to welcome their guests by lassi drink and it was very awesome in taste. The room service was also very quick. Hotel- hotel is 600 years old. It is 30 min from the prayagraj junction and 1 hour from the airport. From the airport it can take more as it depends upon the traffic. They have taxi options as well.

The property is maintained really well. Receptionist romina was very warm & the entire staff had great hospitality. Food was excellent & the chef really needs special recognition. This property is just 5 mins away from ganga sangam. The only issue we faced was the area in which it's located. Too narrow roads & traffic jams.

Location not so good. But the experience is worth every penny.

Starting with the positives, the hotel is a heritage property which offers a unique experience making it worth every penny. We were welcomed with chandan tilak and a beaded necklace, along with lassi in a kulhad. The staff took care of every little detail and went above and beyond to make it a memorable trip. Very friendly and courteous staff. Room: we stayed in kivaad room on the first floor which was exactly how it's shown in the pictures. A decent room with all the relevant amenities. Food: our package included breakfast and lunch/dinner. Since there were very few guests, the buffet wasn't available but the staff curated a lavish spread on order (from a fixed menu. We enjoyed the indian preparation more than their chinese/continental meals. I recommend the guests to try the local cuisine or any indian cuisine. The preparation is pretty good, and the portions were decent. I did find the prices a little on the higher side. Location: the biggest flaw of this place is its location but even this experience might vary from person to person. Situated in a narrow alley of daraganj, it is close to sangam, allahabad fort, akshayavat tree, patalpuri temple, and nagvasuki temple. But being located in a narrow alley means difficulty in getting a cab even through ola/uber. We availed the facility of the hotel's cab and were extremely satisfied with raju ji's services and kindness (he carried extra water bottles for us. I'd equate the location of the hotel to chand chowk or aminabad i. E. A decent place to visit but perhaps not a great location to stay at. Having said that, i'd still recommend it to friends and family. The staff even gives you a tour of this 600 year old property which belonged to todar mal's son in law. Todar meal was one of the ratnas during akbar's reign. Definitely a worthy visit for all the history buffs out there. P. S. I wouldn't stay there alone. It's such a huge kothi that i'd be terrified of roaming/staying alone in it. Imagine staying a night alone at any of the assi protected monuments. Spooky! the place is meant to be enjoyed with friends/family.

An old Mogal era Haveli turned into a heritage hotel. beautifully maintained by Welcome. Great initiative to preserve the originality while not hampering the amenities and hospitality.

Wonderful stay experience. Check-in process is very smooth and simple. Staff is very helpful from the start. Organized process, bags directed immediately to room. Food is delicious, dinner experience was regal and breakfast options are numerous. Highly recommend, 100%

Excellent views, great heritage and history behind the place. Manager romina singh was quite detailed with the history of the place. The restaurant food is a must try for a simple local food experience.

Hotel has a haveli vibe to it. You open one of the glass tinted doors directly to a beautiful courtyard with some sitar music playing. Food was delicious. Only thing to probably focus on would be to check if all hardware and electric ware are functional. Coffee maker wasn't working

Really a true heritage. Value for money. Staff is very courteous and very very well behaved. Amenities in the room are just perfect. If you want to take break from regular modern stay badi kothi is perfect choice. It is just a apt balance between heritage stay and modernity. We really enjoyed our stay at this property. Restaurant is with true ambience of an old haveli and quality and taste of food is too good.

Very caring stuff. They had not only sent a car to pick me up from the station at 3. 30 am in the morning but the hotel stuff was also waiting for me at the platform.

Truly an amazing experience in this historic property. The staff, in particular vijay kumar ji at reception, was very helpful and supportive. Except for the small lane access the location is not bad considering it’s closeness to the sangam. Icing on the cake was meeting the owner of the property who happened to be visiting the same day. She very lovingly explained the history and gave some good insights of what this place used to be (e. G. In old days a tunnel from the kothi to the fort. Overall a good experience!

Heritage property with a soul

We feel lucky to have zeroed in for this property for stay during our first visit to prayagraj in last week of april 2023. It is an heritage property which has been upgraded with modern amenities to make the stay comfortable while retaining its old charm like old structure/layouts, doors and many other small things which the resident is expected to explore. Location of the hotel is very convenient to reach sangam ghat. Although final approach is through a lane but old haveli cannot be in new areas and has to be in old city and areas. Other location advantage is walking distance from ganga ji. As during this period ganga ji’s water levels are low, we had the opportunity to go by local boat to kachchar ( island with in ganga ji ) ( courtesy & accompanied by mr. Dubey & then again next morning with mr. Raju of hotel property ). Here, we could enjoy our evening under the moon light and could also taste the fresh produce like kakdi, watermelon, muskmelon etc. . We went next day also during the day to the area for fresh round of fruits and vegetables and to have ganga ji dip also. Food served at hotel is very fresh and as to individual taste. Dinner set up under open sky accompanied with mesmerising music by arjun guruji on the instrument named “ swear mandala ” was too relaxing. Chef ali made our stay more comfortable as we could get the food to our taste buds by just explaining once that what we like. Overall, support staff was very cooperative and forthcoming to make our stay comfortable and memorable. Cannot miss the special mention of mr. Manoj dubey, raju, ms neha vajpayee & chef ali, for making our stay memorable & pleasant. Wish could have stayed a day more or so to just enjoy the haveli charm.
