I recently stayed at Wild Berry Resort in South Goa, and unfortunately, the experience was far from what I expected from a resort in such a prime location.
Hygiene and Maintenance were not up to standard. Everything seemed neglected. The washroom lacked basic grooming amenities. Shampoo was provided in an unbranded white bottle with no conditioner, no dental kit, or grooming kit – very disappointing for a resort that aims to be premium.
Security was another major concern. There was only one security guard, who was also seen doing other miscellaneous chores. This setup made the resort feel quite unsafe, especially at night. Also, generator needs manual process to turn on which makes it horrifying at night as not a single light appears on. You need to call at reception and he will say “ light will come in some time, upper ki light aa gayi niche ki bhi aa jayegi”
The swimming pool was a letdown. It had a strong smell of chlorine, looked poorly maintained, and lacked a coach or supervisor. People were even taking alcoholic drinks into the pool, which raised serious safety and hygiene concerns.
The room facilities were sub-par too — no smart TV, and to top it off, the remote control was missing. No slippers, kettle was not clean
I genuinely hope the management takes this feedback seriously and improves these key areas. Until then, I wouldn’t recommend this resort to those looking for a comfortable, safe, and hygienic stay.
