Review Of Zostel MunnarLike a 3

The property has a good view. My prior zostel experiences have been good. But we had a disappointing stay here. The water was muddy and the hostel staff kept justifying that this is what they have been using. And they forgot to tell us about the issue. Also, the hosteller here has better views (it’s much farther from town though)

My wish to try Zostal is 8 years old, thought it was meant only for young traveler’s, but was proved wrong, the staff was so courteous, place was clean and tidy with a lot of fun and active spaces, was more than happy with the restaurant that served yummy luscious finger licking food.

Property was clean. Staffs were very helpful.

No proper power backup. Most of the times we were without power. No hot water came properly. We had to keep inform them every morning No proper information on the off road that we need to take to connect to the property. It was very steep

forced to take the buffet breakfast, not providing an option to take one item.. since there is no other option we are supposed to take the buffet breakfast.. or else be hungry

Had such a great time at Zostel Munnar! The place is honestly beautiful – tucked away in the hills with an amazing view and super chill vibes. Perfect if you just want to relax, meet new people, or sit with a cup of chai and enjoy the weather. Big shoutout to Jeetu Bhaiya – he’s the heart of the place! Super friendly, always full of energy, and made sure everyone felt comfortable and included. From helping with travel plans to organizing fun group stuff in the evening, he made our stay so much more memorable. Honestly, Zostel is lucky to have him! The rest of the staff was also really sweet and helpful. Everything was clean and well-maintained, and the overall vibe of the place was just… easygoing. We met some really cool people and had deep convos under the stars – exactly the kind of experience you hope for in the hills. Also, the location is a big plus – peaceful, green, and the views are unreal, especially early in the morning. Great place to just switch off and be present.

We booked 6 beds and we went 5 people... Even if we are paying, they cancelled the 1 bed without refunding or asking

1. Unprofessional behavior of Property Manager. Made false promises of arranging sunrise trek but backed out at the last moment, hampering our entire day's plan 2. No vibe, common area closes at sharp 10:30 when the fun starts to begin, nothing to do in zostel apart from sleeping. Booked zostel for the vibe but it was entirely missing. 3. Frequent WiFi disconnections, hampering work. Zostel Munnar was supposed to be workation friendly but how are we supposed to even work without Internet. 4. No tea/coffee at property after 6:30/7 pm. Every time we get excuse that milk is finished etc. After returning from daily travel sightseeing, we atleast expect a cup of warm tea bit never got it.

This property is the best for everyone specially if you are travelling with friends,couples or solo traveller.This Zostel has one the best views and very friendly staff.Food is also very nice.Food recommendation-Tea (specially of this place)is awesome.Best place to stay.

Toiletries are not provided. Extremely noisy exhaust and smelly washroom. Ant colonies near headrest, crawling all over. Unhygienic linen and furniture. Issue with water shortage and water quality. Brown water, not usable. Definitely not worth the time and money we suffered. I have already shared all the proof validating the mentioned concerns. We are seriously expecting a monetary compensation for this terrible experience we had to go through.

Had a great stay at the property! The location was very convenient and close to all the major attractions. The rooms were clean and well-maintained, and the staff was polite and helpful throughout. The food was delicious, especially the breakfast spread. Overall, a comfortable and pleasant experience—would definitely recommend!

Everything was good and just had an issue with the aldrop of washroom. It has to be fixed

Its feels really comfortable stay, common area was amazing. Food taste is really good. The view from the zostel was mesmerising and felt pleasant in the evening. Staffs were so friendly and well mannered. Completely enjoyed the stay.

The stay was nice and comfortable. We booked a deluxe room. It has nice balcony with great view. Food is good but not great. And there is nice community place and workplace. Overall a good experience. The hostel staff will help you with travel arrangements and everything.

the electric outlet on the bed was hanging out which was dangerous. there were no bath towels, we had to ask for them to get it. and the flush and hot water was not working initially. so it would be nice if they make sure of that before the guest arrives. other than that it was good. it's peaceful area and good view. food was also nice❤️

It was good stay, price for dormitory was on higher side. Good food and good staffs, especially Mr. Rito and Mr. Thappar. Good vibes. Met many people. Greatest negative very poor WiFi connection. Faced a lot of issues while working from home

My partner and i recently stayed in zostel munnar and had a great experience. This property is among one of the best hostel stays in the last 3 yrs of my backpacking travels. The hostel is located approx 5 km from the main bus stand but one can take an auto or bus to commute. The rooms are clean and well maintained along with spacious game room, work space and a lovely terrace for chilling in the evening. The ambience and vibe made me extend my stay for an additional day. Met some fantastic like minded fellow travellers. The staff is extremely courteous, friendly and welcoming. The meal options and catering services available in the cafeteria are exceptional and provide pretty good veg and non veg options at a reasonable price. I would extend a shout out for the management for such a well managed facility. Highly recommended.

It was a wonderful stay experience! The host, Rito, took care of the entire experience and ensured that each moment of the stay was fun, endearing and filled with adventure! His recommendations were bang on! Tapas, the restaurant manager was absolutely amazing, fast and quick to understand and apprehend the food cravings! Even though I was staying alone, not one of my meals were lonely since the staff, especially Tapas would make it a point to converse everytime and fill the dining experience with small gestures like getting my coffee right even before i said, to make me feel at home! The bonfires by Rito and the Zostellers, followed by the late night jamming sessions are something that I am going to sorely missing till my next trip! Zostel Munnar had been an incredible choice for the journey! It was a wonderful stay experience!
