Few Ri Kynjai - Serenity By The Lake (by Centre Point Group)s can live up to a name like "serenity by the lake" - this one does this exceptionally well, and then some! Everything about the property is spectacular. 45 acres of pristine wooded tropical forest overlooking a gorgeous lake, just 17 rooms . The food is great, the service is perfect (not too fawning, warm and helpful and very professional. Could be a teensy bit better, but I won't let minor quibbles interfere with this report). The interiors are incredibly tastefully done. I spent hours admiring it; they also have lovely local art and handicrafts all over the resort. They have a wonderful reading area overhanging the lobby - perfect place to relax and read a book, looking over the beautiful lake. I wish the lighting there was a bit brighter so you could read after sunset; the ambient lighting was a tad bit too dark to read. But overall, this is one of the very best Ri Kynjai - Serenity By The Lake (by Centre Point Group)s to enjoy nature in India - must add to your list if you are in the Shillong area. Or if you are planning a family / group event that needs about 17 rooms and can make your way there. Minor things to watch for - because it is so quiet and pristine, sound carries - so if you end up with a room over the restaurant area, it gets loud even with doors closed. People don't know how to use "inside voices" so it can get annoying (not the Ri Kynjai - Serenity By The Lake (by Centre Point Group)'s fault). Try to request rooms that are further away from the restaurant area and you might be fine. Note that there is no air-conditioning, but the weather is so perfect you wont miss it. Also, it is far from the city - not a problem if you don't plan to go into the city center.

This is a wonderful resort and is worth every penny we spent there. The location is what makes it unique being so close to the lake and offering such breathtaking views of the lake and the surrounding hills and the vegetation, and what add to this are the big spacious rooms, the great decor and the AMAZING STAFF. Everyone's sole goal at the resort is to make your stay a memorable one. One advice to my fellow travellers - if you are caught in a dialemma between the superior and supreme rooms, go for the Superior room - since it offers great view of the lake from the room itself, for the supreme room - the lake view is kind of obstructed by the pine forest. One advice to management - you folks have really thought through everything, however having a play area with some basic stuff like a slide, a swing, a trampoline etc would be great. It might become a bit boring for kids below 10 after evening

the place is awesome. it is owned and designed by an architect and his exotic taste is evident in the architecture, design, décoré, landscaping etc. we were left awestruck. the place is a boutique Ri Kynjai - Serenity By The Lake (by Centre Point Group) with less room and small staff but the staff is just too good. we can't thank them enough for making out stay very exotic. we had wine and bitings by the bonfire. we had a walk on the property which leads to the lake. we tried fishing as the Ri Kynjai - Serenity By The Lake (by Centre Point Group) lends angling apparatus. overall an unforgettable experience! the food was very good too. the view from the superior and cottage category rooms will take your breath away.

We had reserved a cottage with a wonderful view of umiam lake. The room was spacious, with tasteful interiors and all the necessary amenities as would be expected from a high-end Ri Kynjai - Serenity By The Lake (by Centre Point Group). Room service was efficient. The best part of the room, and generally for a stay at ry kinjai, was the astounding view of the lake from the balcony, which made the entire trip worthwhile. We had dinner at the restaurant, which was satisfactory, even though the options were limited. Overall, we had a great stay, and look forward to making another trip soon.

We had booked two lake view rooms from where we got magnificent views of the umiam lake. Our request for special assistance to my father who had difficulty walking was well taken care of. The food was great, service top class and the staff was very courteous too. Since we did not have plans t move around shillong for sightseeing owing to the old age of my parents, we planned to have a good time in the resort itself which undoubtedly we had. The property is so beautiful, its worth the price and the hassle of all the traveling we did from dibrugarh to shillong

Nestled along the umiam lake, rykinjai is truly a wonderful luxury resort. The biggest pull for this place has to be the location. It is one of the most beautiful locations, and if you’re staying in the cottage then it’s an added layer of picturesque. However, there is a lot of improvements around the service; breakfast was a big disappointment, the service overall was very slow and there is huge potential to create experiences for residents. There is room for so much more that we felt a bit disappointed with the overall experience.

My family and I had an excellent experience with Ri Kynjai. The location offers a spectacular view of Umiam Lake. The space is tastefully decorated, and rich in local culture and heritage. The staff are super helpful and accommodating. The whole place is clean as a whistle. The food is nice, particularly the desserts. Ri Kynjai were also kind enough to arrange sightseeing and transport, with an experienced guide (who has excellent recommendations but). The resort area is lush green, and tranquil. Great place for a nice quiet break.

Overall it was good and luxurious experience. Pros: - staffs are well behaved - the view is amazing. We can see the lake & forest. Overall its a mesmerising view - food is amazing. The restaurant decor adds to it. - its very neat and clean - rooms are big, hygienic and has all basic amenities - they maintain covid protocol. Only inhouse guest are allowed for dining and outsiders are not allowed to crowd the place. Cons: - rooms can be a bit expensive for some. - few part of roads on the way to resort is not in good condition

As the name suggests it can’t get more serene. Excellent property in a secluded location by the lake. Spacious rooms. Excellent service by the team. Good food.

There isn't a better place to stay in Shillong. It's a relatively small property, with just 17 rooms. We were in the Lake-view cottage, which are the top of the lot, and offer amazing view of the lake and mountains, right from the room's balcony! The view is so mesmerizing, one can admire it all day long. Food is fine, and the brands at the bar were limited - but that's never the primary reason to be there, so no complaints.

The location, cleanliness and staff behaviour was very good but, the breakfast was horrible which we didn’t deserve after paying 17k per night. Also few wifi and other amenities were missing.

Booked well in advance for a lovely trip to Shillong. The staff is really courteous and helpful. The property is at an amazing location. Dinner was great but not the breakfast. But surely it's a must visit place if you want to have a grandeur holiday experience.

Our first trip to Shillong we were a family of 9 people. The view of The Umiam Lake were outstanding. The different colors from sunrise to sunset were mesmerizing. Service and food were of good quality and even the spa was lovely. Definitely worth a repeat.

The only word "peace" will be appropriate to describe this beautiful place.

Everything is perfect except the noise coming from the adjacent room. Even if they speak, it could be audible very clearly to the next room. Overall, as per the name ri kynjai-serenity by the lake" it truly stands. Thank you.

It is amazing place for nature lover. Clean large water body, jungle trail, green mountain make it a dream destination.
