It was our first experience at any homestay property(2bhk apartment) and we enjoyed our little vacation there. Listing some pros & cons related to the stay: pros: 1. Hosts are lovely (lokesh uncle, dr. Ankur & his beautiful wife & cute kid) and they are just a call away for any of your concern or query. I actually called them a lot for my queries and they happily resolved my doubts. 2. You will feel like your own home on hills with beautiful valley view. Beddings, dining table & sofa and furniture feels like our own place 3. We were assigned an assistant too(kiran) who was so polite & helpful and arranged all our groceries & stuff, room cleaning and she cooks for you too if you dont want to cook for urself. 4. We needed a cab too for local sightseeing the other day and our host arranged that too within a short period of time. Driver was very genuine & decent too. 5. The best part of our entire stay was dr. Ankur made sure that this vacation will be memorable for us in every way. My mom wanted to stay back & rest at the property coz she was exhausted due to travel-ling while we left for sightseeing. Dr. Ankur and his wife attended her personally to make sure if she need anything and she is doing okay. This was a really sweet gesture as my mother was very happy at the end of the day. Cons: 1. Since it is a home so other people stay on upper/lower floors. It disturbed our sleep because a family living on upper floor were celebrating/partying till 3:30am. 2. Property is bit in main city of shimla and the roads towards it are bit narrow having steep slopes & different elevations so take the help of property's host if driving by urself. They'll guide you properly or better to ask them either for pickup or arrange a driver. 3. Private washroom was a bit smelly & no ceiling fans are provided. 4. If you need an induction in the kitchen, 100- will be charged per day and if you need a gas burner with cylinder then 250- per day. So i feel kitchen must be provided with these basic amenities free of cost as its a homestay. Though we were provided utensils instantly after asking but i think it will be nice that basic cooking utensils & crockeries should be kept in kitchen permanently. But all in all we all loved it being there & had a great time and my other side of family is already planning to come here again for the next vacation. So, see you soon )

I booked this Ridge View Homestay | Rooms & Caretaker for my friend's family. Our major concern was onion and garlic-free food. As we were searching for the homestay, we came across this property online. We enquired about the food, the host was quick enough to respond within 15 min that he will provide home-cooked onion garlic food. Without further delay, we booked 3 BHK. Due to rainy weather, we got late for check-in and we reached the property at around 11 pm. The host was kind enough to be in contact with us throughout the journey and assured us that there will be no issue with late check-in. Our half stress was relieved there only. During check-in, we were tired as hell. As we were a group of 8-9 members traveling from Gwalior. Ie a 12-hour journey straight. The host greeted us very nicely and gave us a tour properly and served us delicious dinner. Due to the covid situation, some of the places that we were planning to visit in Shimla were close. Dr. Ankur (host of the property) guided us about the nearby places that we can explore and saved our time as if we would have visited places that we planned earlier we would have only wasted our time. But thanks to Dr. Ankur. He saved our time and efforts. Every night we had dinner there and it was of good quality. We definitely got our home away from home. Thank you Dr. Ankur and staff for providing us an amazing stay experience. We highly recommend this place to others as well.

Everything about staying there was beautiful. Ankur bhaiya did make me feel at home there. I went on a solo trip to Shimla with absolutely nothing and I've come back having more fun than I ever thought I would and made good friends as well. I usually don't write reviews for Ridge View Homestay | Rooms & Caretakers and in fact this is the first Ridge View Homestay | Rooms & Caretaker I'm ever reviewing. I can't really put into words how much this place is worth staying. Yeah it's a bit far from the city but that's all sorted by Ankur bhaiya himself - the cabs, food, service everything went well. I'd only feel bad if I didn't review this homestay. The view from the terrace is brilliant. The rooms are pretty comfortable. The people are very nice. I had a great time. Everything there is very reasonably charged. Whether you're travelling alone or as a couple or as a group it's all sorted. Definitely not worth checking other places out when I'm visiting Shimla next time.

We are group of 10 person spent 3 nights and came back to our home with a sweet memory. Very good food, great location, rooms are big and clear and service staff are very good food, great location, rooms are big and clear and service staff are very good.
It was a very nice experience staying in home stay. It is little far from the city but quite place food was very good in a very nominal charges. We enjoyed new year party which was specially organised. All the staff are very cooperative and quick in response. Ankur the owner is extraordinary well behaved and helpful.

I've been on a handful of trips and this is one of the best b&b i've been ever to, the host was really helpful and the hospitality was great and i like the spaces and privacy they provided. And he provided a good recommendation for sightseeing in and around the city. And great view with excellent home cooked food. I was a neat freak and i'm satisfied with the sanitisation. If i ever been to shimla again it will be the only place i'll stay. And i recommend other tourist as well.

The stay was awesome, very spacious rooms were provided, cleanliness was very good, room interior, service was very good. Food was like home, very fresh and healthy with good taste. From the balcony and windows of the room nature's flawless beauty was visible. A great stay. Five stars.
Very good room service, good room size, good cleanliness and very polite behaviour. Also the owner of the property gave vital information about the places to visit.

We stayed for 2 nights. Full apartment was given to us. RO installed. Cleanliness need to improve. The toilet commode in common bathroom is leaking and it caused lot of discomfort in using the bathroom. Lot of hairs in sinks which was very bad to even look. Food quality was average and menu options are limited. It is good for Stay as location is good. Better to eat food outside. Dr. Grol was very friendly and caring host.

Doctor ankur is the most hospitable host you will ever find. Make sure to visit this Ridge View Homestay | Rooms & Caretaker. It has perfect scenic views plus great service plus rooms are spacious and affordable. It is away from the noise of the mall road and into the deep valleys of shimla. All of that makes it the best of shimla where you can enjoy the mountains in solitude.

Nice people good food good atmosphere everything outstanding. Except little bit distance from city. We have our own conveyance that is why no problem. Owner has prepared dinner even at 11. 00 pm as per our request. I enjoyed my trip very nice. I recommend this stay for everybody.

It was best experience. We got such a best homestay. Thanks to makemy trip to make our trip easy and hassle free. The homestay was clean, superb mountain view and polite and nice homestay care taker.

We stayed there on April, overall 2 families with 4 kids and 5 adults. Peaceful and scenic view. Food provided was fresh and tasted good, and was affordable. Hospitality was very awesome. Enough space for children to play. Most of the amenities present in the apartment, to make you feel at Home. A bit far from City, but that can be compensated by location.

It was very nice experience to stay here, Particularly the location is awesome. The facilities are good and a call away. No disturbance during stay. Especially the owner is polite and solution oriented which makes it unique.

Awesome view from the Ridge View Homestay | Rooms & Caretaker. Good spacious, food is also good. Only thing is that around 4. 5 km away from shimla market. Overall good. Dr ankur is very kind of person. He helped me whenever we need.

प्रॉपर्टी ओनर बहुत अच्छे व्यक्ति हैं, खाना भी बिल्कुल घर की तरह था, शान्त वातावरण के लिए बहुत अच्छा स्थान, ओनर द्वारा एडवेंचर रिसॉर्ट के फ्री एंट्री पास सरप्राइज था , परिवार के साथ शान्त जगह पर समय बिताने के लिए उत्तम स्थान है, मैं दोबारा भी जाना चाहूँगा।
