Ridge View Mashobra | Rooms & Restaurant

I had the pleasure of staying at Ridge View Cottage and Homestay & Hotel in Mashobra from 6th to 8th June (for Tuffman Shimla Marathon) , and it was truly one of the most memorable stays I’ve had in Himachal. The location is convenient and easy to find, situated close to the race venue and local market, which made quick errands or evening strolls very manageable. Despite its proximity to the market, the ambiance remained peaceful and perfect for a relaxing hill stay. The property itself is comfortable and well-maintained, offering all the essential amenities needed for a hassle free experience. The rooms were clean, cozy, and offered a charming cottage like vibe which added to the mountain experience. Now coming to the highlight of the stay, The Food. I can confidently say that the meals here were some of the best I’ve had across all my trips to Himachal. Every dish was prepared fresh, tasted homemade, and was served at a very reasonable price. It’s rare to find such a perfect combination of quality and affordability when it comes to food during travels. A special thanks and appreciation to Priyanka, the young lady who manages the property. She is the heart of this homestay. Always courteous, warm, and incredibly helpful. She was available for assistance even during early mornings, proactively arranged taxis for us without even needing to be asked, and ensured our entire stay was smooth and comfortable. It’s rare to come across such genuine hospitality these days. Overall, if you’re planning a trip to Shimla or Mashobra and are looking for a homely, peaceful, and satisfying place to stay, Ridge View Cottage and Homestay & Hotel is a fantastic choice. I would definitely recommend it and will surely return in the future.

Property is good and suitable for a calm and convenient stay. Although you need to have some directions to reach there, it is on the road. Caretaker mr. Jagdish is highly skilled and friendly person. Staff is polite. Although, he was facing lack of staff, he took care of everything. You can stay here with family. We had a good time.

Property is little bit difficult to find. But overall experience was great. Good cleaniness, good host and good food as well.

The food at the property was average and not worth the money. We preferred eating at local eateries.

The hotel was very good. It was fully sanitized and it was fully clean and neat. The food was awesome and accordingly to everyone's taste.

The property was so good. The location was peaceful and easy to access. The room was spacious and comfortable and well furnished as well. The staff was very helpful and cooperative. It was an awesome experience with my friends. Must recommend the property to others.

The hotel is easily accessible, yet located in a quiet and peaceful surrounding. Although it is not a star hotel, it does have all basic facilities, including running hot water, cable tv and wi-fi. The staff are friendly too. One area the hotel needs to improve is cleanliness. Toilets and rooms are cleaned only if you ask them, and not on daily basis. Toiletries are also not replaced regularly. But overall a pleasant experience.
