Rio Grande Residency

I had chosen this as my place to stay along with my family for a holiday in madurai and they offered me 2 executive rooms and also a complementary breakfast with a very decent price. I think for the price, this residency is very much worth it. They had also offered an extra bed to the room that was included in the price. The rooms are sufficient for 3 people and are neatly maintained by the staff. The staff behaviour to the customers are also remarkable. There is an intercom available in every rooms through which we are able to call up the reception for our enquiries and also the restaurant for the food items which will be delivered to our respective rooms by the staff members from the restaurant. Now coming to the negatives, i could point out two negatives which are that even though we get free wifi, the wifi connection is really bad and is getting cut often almost all the time and i was not able to proceed with my work. The second thing is that, is not considered to be a negative factor yet, the food provided by the restaurant that is delivered seemed to be quite expensive for its quality but it is the correct price when it comes to quantity. Also the road to the residency if maintained neatly would impress and attract even more customers to the residency. (a small suggestion. Overall this is a very great stay for anyone who wishes to stay in madurai city by grabbing the best price that is available on the makemytrip platform. Highly recommended stay.

The location is close to the bus stand and vadamalayan hospitals which we intended to visit, so pretty convenient for us. Ola auto is available 24*7. The room was very tidy, the bathrooms have attached geysers so hot water was not a problem at all. In room service was good. Had ordered lunch and was brought within 30 mins. One suggestion for the Rio Grande Residencyiers would be to provide more than one blanket during winters if there are more than one people. Also, Before checking in, I tried calling their phone number multiple times - early morning and morning, it was always busy or seone picked it up and then cut it immediately. It was unwelcoming. Not sure, if the phone number is correct. Same problem when checking out early morning at 6. The receptionist did not attend the call. Had to bring down the luggage myself.

We arrived in madurai at 7:30 am and requested an early check-in at our Rio Grande Residency, but they were unable to accommodate us. After having breakfast, we returned to the Rio Grande Residency at 9:30 am and were given our room by 10:15 am, which was satisfactory. The rooms were spacious, with clean beds and bathrooms. The breakfast and other meals were good and reasonably priced. When i informed the staff that we would be leaving early and would skip breakfast, they offered to pack it for us. The staff was friendly and helpful. However, they could have provided an additional chair for people to sit and enjoy their snacks.

The stay is at a great location and accessible to all restaurants and essential needs in a walkable distance. The parking place is covered basement parking which is awesome and restaurant also serves good. The associates at restaurant are approachable and having nice gesture towards the people. Mr nelson also is very friendly towards customers and helpful. Overall the stay is good and everything else also is good. Nothing bad about this place. Will recommend to stay anyone visiting madurai and i can opt for same place on my next visit.

Property location was just behind the main road inside road to property was in bad condition. Complimentary breakfast was ok but alakat service was poor due to long waiting time. Parking is not sufficient. Received a parking lot while check-in but went for shopping in the evening and when came back, parking lot was not available. There was one area where one bike was parked and we requested to move the bike to park the car but they refused to move saying the staffs has to park next day morning. Then we have to park the car outside.

The amenities in the room are not similar in all rooms. We booked 2 rooms. My boys room (401)is better than ours(402. In our the ac was not working initially. Once reported, it was rectified by Rio Grande Residency staff. The lift exhaust fan was not working. So the swetting smell remains inside, which was uncomfortable for other guests. The guests may felt this and it will affect your Rio Grande Residency image.

Hotel staff were very welcoming and prompt service. Food is a bit pricey but taste is good. Bedsheets and other amenities are good for the price. Only complaint I might have is about the approach road to this Rio Grande Residency which is about 300 meters and looks quite deserted after dark. One night while strolling, had run into few stray dogs, which chased me back to the Rio Grande Residency.

It is located near omni bus stand which makes to identity very well. Food is very average but the breakfast is good. The staffs especially f rent deask very friendly. The guard in the vehicle place knows the timing distance and directions-of the temples is much useful to plan the trip. Toiletries are not provided by theresidency except medimix soap. Totally the place is good to stay

Felt the location little interior as covered by few industries, Rio Grande Residency good and rooms were clean. Its a good once you reach. Suggestion can give a without breakfast option while booking

Location sign board may be placed on main road in a suitable place food was very testy. Overall services were excellent.

Stay was very good. Ambience is nice and service quality is also very nice. Hygiene is maintained only in there one room 307 some kind of smell was coming. They need to improve the quality of food which they provide in included in the cost. Rest all is nice.

Very good room with that pricing. B/fast was excellent and we all enjoyed the stay. Parking space was also good and the service was also nice. Location also good as it is in the city. Over all it was a very good property

Parking space, rooms and bathrooms were neat and spacious. Decent stay!

Room and bath room were spacious but bathroom was smelling bad. I think it is problem with the drainage system. Free breakfast was so so. Not great. They can improve the quality.

Room had good sunlight during day and very hygienic. Only area they need to improve is good as the their canteen chef hardly could make any north indian dish even as per menu. Needs training of chef.

Room is neat and tidy. Service is great! Only concern is with food which is below average
