Riva Beach Resort

Riva is like a school child who shows glimpses of being the child genius and prodigy but falls a little short of that promise. There is nothing outrageously wrong but there are some niggles which if fixed could make this a great stay. Firstly, it's on a beach, which is one of the underrated ones that is truly spectacular. You can walk from mandrem to arambol beach from the beach side. Property is reasonably big with 1 main pool and 2 small ones. It's green as well, which is well maintained. Now what missing. 1. It's not well maintained. The first room we got had malfunctioning shower head. After some requests and complaints. Room was upgraded. However, the new one also had the exact same issue. To their credit. They replaced the shower head with a new one and issue was fixed 2. They advertise and focus on hosting weddings now a days which is understandable also since goa has a tourist season only for few months and they need to cover their running expenses. But because of that a regular guest has to bear with. Arrange arrangement and hustle bustle 3. Overall staff is cooperative but not trained like most good chains do so while they will do the task. Usually smile and pleasing personality is missing. Staff at pool needs to be trainer properly because they behave more like wardens ) 4. They do have a gym but a strange arrangement. Ground floor sym is complimentary ( weigh training ) but cardio is charged extra. Was a first for me. But overall a good stay. For the beauty of the beach.

I recently stayed at Hotel Riva Resort and was thoroughly impressed by the overall experience. The service was exceptional—staff members were friendly, attentive, and always ready to assist with any request. Their attention to detail truly enhanced our stay. The food was another highlight. Each meal was a delightful experience, with a variety of dishes that were both delicious and beautifully presented. Whether it was breakfast, lunch, or dinner, the culinary team exceeded our expectations with every dish. We were celebrating a birthday, and the decorations were nothing short of amazing. Miss Archana’s and team attention to detail & creativity made the room feel festive and welcoming. Every element, from the balloons to the floral arrangements, was beautifully coordinated, making the celebration truly special. In summary, Hotel Riva Resort offers a perfect blend of excellent service, delicious food, and comfortable accommodations. It’s an ideal choice for anyone looking to relax and enjoy a memorable stay.

I stayed for 6 days in this property and choose this property from excellent service reviews & location which was correct. Special thanks to ms. Archana ( hk mag r ) who provided gesture of cake & decoration for my mom bday, which made it more special. Very polite & efficient staff, whenever called was on toes. Special thanks to xavier ( security ) for helping us getting cab service on time, john& dinesh ( hk), debojit ( f&b ) for on timely services. Spa services were also great. Resort is big enough have 3 swimming pool, kids play area, cafe, live music area, also provide cab services & also on rent. Breakfast spread was also wide and chef special dishes were goan curry fish, chicken vandaloo, yellow dal tadka, dal makhni. Overall good experience. Just few recommendations, while providing rooms to guests please check them prior as there were some discrepancies which were corrected later & have better communication between reception & lower staff.

Great location, spacious rooms, tastefully designed overall. However, service quality is very poor. Severe delays in housekeeping, dis-functional mini fridge and air conditioner, had a power cut all night in their most premium category room, along with an unpleasant sewage odour right outside the same room, cars are parked by valet overnight, but they were unwilling to clean bird droppings that were formed in their own parking. In summary, if you're willing to ignore the poor service, the resort and the beach can offer a great experience. I highly recommend to replace the head or service and hope the resort regains it's original charm.

The resort is good. I found the superior rooms to be a bit small compared to the rate. the room had only a bed. Since we are a family of 3, there was no space to sit in the room unless all three occupy the bed. A comfy chair/ couch in the room would have helped. There are 3 swimming pools, all are well maintained. The main one doesn't have much shade. The other two are good. Food (breakfast) had good variety- taste wise it was average but doable. Staff was responsive and coutesous. Not all rooms have the same view, we had to change the second day as day one we got a room which didn't have a view or air circulation.

The property is amazing. Vast property. Very neat and clean. Well maintained. Has 3 swimming pools & spa. Has a direct access to mandrem beach. Food is pretty good too tough we had very limited items as had food outside most items. Breakfast has wide spread however the service of the Riva Beach Resort staff at breakfast was not that great. They used to forget most items ordered or give a wrong order. Pricing of the Riva Beach Resort is little higher directly but found good rates on mmt. Overall a wonderful stay

Room was good but it was not near the beach, there were not many amenities but the food was still amazing. The staff was very cooperative and polite, as our air conditioner was not working they also changed our room as per our request, overall the experience was good. Riva was a good resort as it was so close to the beach, the area of the property was also very large and we got upgraded to a better room, only the food was a bit expensive, my overall experience was absolutely amazing. 4

Stayed in coco-wood cottage. A bit run down. The property is definitely not baby friendly. Stairs are everywhere. We had a really hard time moving around our baby in stroller. They have 2 swimming pools of small size (enough to enjoy with group of friends) and a small medium size pool. The best part of our stay was the hospitality. Super amazing staffs. Access to beach via a small bridge over backwaters. Security guard is always present. Breakfast and dinner spread is also good.

Our experience at rev a beach resort was truly fantastic. The resort is perfectly situated right by the beach, boasting a peaceful, positive, and vibrant ambiance. Although our stay was short, limited to just one day, we couldn't help but thoroughly enjoy the overall feeling of being at the resort.

Had a very comfy stay. Well maintained propeety. Courteous n helpful staff. Serene beach nearby. Food again excellent. Enjoyed my time there.

it was very good experience . great location special for beach walk . very good swimming pool . great environment . room cleaning could be better. but in this rainy season it might be a challenge for housekeeping . but they should be arrange sufficient ☔ for this season . over all a great experience

Property location is good but it's an old property but again well maintained. Staff is courteous, good food with limited options. I got a good deal on mmt.

My family loves this place, i have stayed here with my kids since the time they were toddlers, the place is really nice, good food, courteous staffs, the beach is literally just there, pool in the property is good. In all we always have a good time. If i have to say a con, it would be housekeeping services can improve a little, the rooms are a little dusty so the ocd in me kicks in. But overall we love riva beach resort and will visit again in the future. Thank you!

Stay 4/5 had power cuts sometimes food 4/5 breakfast was good ambience, spa 5/5 a bit far from north goa beaches, hire a car
